2017 C63s, 2021 Tesla Model Y, 2006 CLS55 (gone), 2012 CLS 63 (gone)
Hi. My name is Jason and Im in Arizona. New to the forum but not to Mercedes. I had a 2006 CLS55 with Eurocharged pulley, headers, tune, etc. Only had 38k miles on it and it ran great and pulled like a beast. Unfortunately it sprung a fuel leak and it burned up. Was so bummed. After the insurance payout, I found a 2012 CLS63 with 21k miles on it. Ceramic brakes, carbon fiber trim. The car is mint and I got it for a great price. Looking for an ECU tune and down-pipes, eventually. Been visiting the site for a few months and finally decided to become a member. Thanks for all the info posted, been a great resource for research and general information. Cheers!

2013 C300 4 matic
Hi Guys My name is Gagan.

Hi Guys, Im Gagan...New to this site. actually taking some time to explore this awesome resource. WOW!. We have been a MB family from some time now. In my younger and leaner days... It was all about Ford Mustangs. first owned a 1987 Mustang Gt, only year they made factory t tops, then upgraded to a ASC Mcleron Mustang (LX body frame) My GT used to smoke it. Now its been Benz for years. first a c280, then E300, currently im Driving a 2013 C300 4matic. my wife is driving a 2011 E350, she loves it. My brother a 2013 M5....Traitor(but pretty kool car) I will be upgrading soon to a C63, fingers crossed in the near future. Nice to meet all you members. Im having some issues with the c300. It failed the emissions test specifically for two codes;P2540 (fuel sensor, or Filter?) and U0402. I will post this in the forum..Im in medical sales and travel quite a bit domestic and international. Have not driven my car since January 31st this year due to the failure and travel time. It is not giving me any issues what so ever, other then the infamous check engine light. Desperately seeking advice and a economical solution.

Thanks all
regards
Gagan

Re: New Member from Western Massachusetts

Hello from Northwest Massachusetts. I am new to MB World and have just purchased a W211 wagon with 64k, in top notch condition, with no crashes and great service history. This is my second Mercedes, my first being a 1993 300E 2.8 which I absolutely loved. I needed a wagon to transport the Bulldogs around in and missed the Mercedes ride and build quality. I have been a BMW 3-Series guy for many years and owned an E30 325iX (AWD), E92 335xi, E90 M3, as well as a 2002Tii; my current BMW is a E90 M3. I have already been using the Forums to my great advantage and there isn't much that cannot
be found there. Nice to be back in the Mercedes Benz family again and hope to be here for a while. All the Best, Jeffrey

.

2015 Mercedes GL450
Newbie from Seattle area

Mercedes newbie here! It's actually my wife's new (to her) 2015 GL450 (she previously had a 2011 Toyota Sienna). We are loving it so far, only mod I have done so far is to add running boards and some all weather mats. I plan to add parking sensors as we have the blind spot assist and lane keeping assist but it didn't come with park assist. She has a backup camera but we need parking sensors as well. Looking forward to checking out everyone's Benz's.

2013 E350 Bluetec Sport
New Owner/Used Benz

Well, I finally got into the Benz World. I bought a 2012 E350 Bluetec, with 128,000 miles. I haven't quite settled down yet, but I love the 37 mpg from the 13mpg on my previous vehicle. I THINK I bought right. The only thing that makes me a little nervous is not knowing whether the ticking at startup is normal or a harbinger of damaged timing chain. I have all of the service records showing regular service and maintenance. Hopefully, this will have forestalled some of the issues the Bluetecs are known. Any feedback on what is normal/abnormal would be appreciated.

I live in Lake Charles, LA. Any recommendations on a good/fair mechanic within a reasonable driving distance would be sincerely appreciated.

Here we go!!

c300 4matic
new to this site and hello!

hello all...i am trying to find a thread, (if that's the proper title for what i'm looking for) about the clock spring failure in my 2014 c300...
my clock spring has indeed failed and i have no horn or power in the controls on my steering wheel. all other electrical works, lights, bluetooth, radio (with the knob underneath the radio) just not the controls on steering wheel.
i understand the "remedy" is not yet available for the airbag, but now that i have this electrical problem that is due to the clock spring, i'm trying to find out if this is covered under the recall. i can't seem to get an answer from the dealer. they have to do a "diagnostic" before letting me know...
feeling like i'm on a never ending hamster wheel of no information. anyone that has any experience with this, i would surely appreciate some inside info.
thanks so much...

The recalls says if that happens, go straight to the dealer!!! from what I read, you are in danger of the airbag going off if the SRS light is on

They have some parts, but are fixing new cares first - go figure- since they cannot sell them unless its clear of recalls.

thank you so much for your response.
my SRS light is not on, but i'm not thrilled about driving the car without a horn or airbag. i'm not so worried about the control buttons on the steering wheel, i can live without them for now. the way it has been explained to me is that since the clock spring has "sprung" the airbag cannot deploy...i like being informed on things before going to the dealer. here in connecticut there doesn't seem to be a wealth of reputable dealers...i have been using the same mechanic since 1980, so i'm not used to the not so honest people at a lot of the dealerships...
again, thank you so much for your response, looking forward to getting my car back in working order, because i just love it!

2011 E550 Cabriolet
Newbie here. Just picked up this Olivine E550 Canriolet with 39K Miles. Florida car, staying here in Florida. Amazing condition, great maintenance, and pre-loved. I’m quite fortunate to have found this beauty. Had no idea this color was special, but loved it regardless.

2007 C230 AMG Sport
Hello Benz Bros...and Sisters

I have a 2007 C230 in black. Love this car. only 126K on the clock. it has its quirks but love it. Just put new tires on it today wow like driving on glass. It corners. like its on rails. and pretty peppy for the small 6. The rear screen won't go up and it did when I bought it. Does heat effect it? I live in TX.

HI all

Hi

My name is David and I originally come from Ireland but I currently live in Abu Dhabi in the UAE.

I purchased my First Mercedes a little over a year ago (2004 E55 AMG, Japanese import) and have started to experience a few issues, hence my joining up with you fine people.

I will get to my many problems on the forums shortly, but in the mean time here are a few pictures of my wonderful headache:

2013 SL350
Hello everyone,
Im John from Manchester UK.
Bought a ‘13 SL350 last weekend (magnetite, porcelain, black ash) and was due to pick up tomorrow (Sat).
Been buzzing all week!
Phone goes yesterday “We’ve discovered a 4” crack on the inside of a wheel in the multipoint pre sale check”
Pick up postponed until new AMG alloy arrives??
...good that they’ve picked it up and told me but it’s a national holiday (Monday) here in England and for once the weather forecast is wonderful
so was really looking forward to getting the car out in the good weather.
Looking like next weekend now
......will be snowing with my luck!
