Hello, folks. A Brit here. I’ve owned a C 350e S205 from new for just over 3 years and have just put in an order for a GLE 350de to replace it. Seeing as it’s made in the good old US of A, I thought I was entitled to join your forum from the other side of the pond. I don’t suppose you guys down n Alabama could get a wiggle on? I’ve been quoted a September/October delver time!
My name is RJ and I have come back to the MB family. I was on here back in 2014 when I had my 04 S430, but when I sold that I went to Nissan. I have now left Nissan and have acquired a 2015 S63 AMG. Sending love from Philly!
My name is Tom HRDWRKR,, purchased CPO 2013 E 550 4 matic in 2015. Great car, but then purchased hand held tuner that jumped the HP to approx 540 and 700 llb ft torque and never looked back. I live is SW VA and Virginia Int'l speedway is just over an hour away. I am joining the track this spring and looking for the best brake fluid... Any assistance is appreciated. Motul?
I picked up this 2006 CLS55 AMG back in November 2020 with just one owner and 47K miles. Already started doing some work on the car and have it on coilovers and installed some pulleys. It's at 49,500 miles now and I've been loving every minute of it! Hoping to contribute a lot more here as time goes on! Happy to finally be apart of the Mercedes/AMG family!

Hey all, glad to finally be a member here. I've been a long time lurker, so I figured I might as well join now. I currently have a 2005 CLK 500 that I bout about three or four years ago, and I must say that it's held up pretty well. Of course it has it's fair share of issues, as a matter of a fact, it looks like I'm going to have to replace the ESP module here real soon. Overall though, it's been great. I'm looking forward to being able to learn more about Mercedes and just being able to chat about them. See you around! :]
I am a first time Mercedes owner picked up a 2018 C300 over the weekend and I am anxious to see what mods I can do. First one on the list is exhaust and changing the tips to quads. Second would be grill really digging the black diamond one.

Remapping modern cars is quite popular, you might get an extra 20 or 30bhp. Another (free) thing to do is to reset your adaptive transmission (Mercedes Medic: https://www.mercedesmedic.com/reset-...-instructions/ ). I did mine (ML320 W163) and it made a huge difference, much more fun, as I reset it into a 'drove it like I stole it' mode, but it also hammered the fuel economy down to 14mpg... I have now tried to reset it to 'driving Miss Daisy' mode to try and get the mpg back up to 19.5 again... It also runs better on Shell V-Power 99 octane petrol.
Long time, first time. Picked up an SL55 a year ago, very happy with it. Ready to start some mods, stoked to have a resource like this one. Thanks to all contributors!
Hey I'm brand new on here and need some help with my 06 CLK 350. I'm having coolant issues. What's the correct way to post my question? Thanx!
Welcome. What you want to do is go to the CLK forum, and post your question. You’ll want to provide as much background info on the specific issue you’re having with your CLK though. That will be very much appreciated.

hi: just learned about this forum. am from the grey wild north, although the southest part, so is not so wild after all (windsor ontario next to detroit).
i got my car on summer 2019 and am enjoying it as never before. it is a mercedes in disguise-a 2005 crossfire-a different face but inside whole mercedes.
it is close to the SLK320 with an R170 platform and the 3.2 v6.
any advice about where to follow up will be highly appreciated.

You may have a hidden gem if you can find replacement parts for the Chrysler components as they become needed. The 3.2 liter V6 M112 engine is one of the "forever" engines that Mercedes has created over the years. There are European taxi drivers that have near 1 million miles on the W210 chassis with this engine. Mercedes rated the 3.2 L engine at slightly higher horsepower (221 hp), so there may be minor differences. It was used in many E Class, SLK Class, and others over a number of years. Use the search function to search for your engine as M112 and transmission as 722.6. It got a bit chilly down here earlier this week. You may have your weather back as we're done with it.
Hi Everyone. I finally joined this forum after being using it as a resource for a while. I am looking forward for all the information I'll be getting out of this forum.
I bought a 2011 C200 CGI 10 months ago. It's European model (imported from Germany in 2016). After the fact, I learned that the headlights have been changed due to an accident and, as a result, the Intelligent Light System (ILS) is inoperative. The current headlights have part numbers A2048203461 and A2048203361 for right and left respectively. I did some research and although they fit my model they don't support ILS.
I was wondering if there's anyone with the expertise to tell me what are the correct part numbers for Headlights with ILS.
Hey! I'm Brittany and I bought my first Benz! GLB 250. Seems the OG Mercedes are the hottest ticket around here. Maybe I'll catch the bug and go old school on my next one!
Name's Will... coming to from the sunny shores of NWFL. Just picked up a 2002 c230 kompressor hatch. Had it fall into my lap actually. Friend of mine owns a stereo shop... Took it in on trade for work... Needed to turn it into Cash. Asked me if I would be interested and named a very reasonable price... So now she's mine.
it does have a few minor flaws and the big boo-boo on the back passenger quarter panel... but other than that she's pretty sound. I do need help finding a few interior trim panels and figuring out why am I keyless fob does not lock or unlock my doors. This seems like a pretty nice community so I look forward to being a part of it.
I joined the forum after my 2014 GL 450 (87K) ended up having an issue...hoping to find answers from this community before pouring money into it.
The background: purchased the 2014 GL 450 new, it currently has 87K on it. It recently started making an audible noise when the gas pedal was depressed. It doesn't make the noise when idle. The car is also putting out black exhaust when it starts suddenly. Took It to the MB dealer, they can't clearly ID the issue until the essentially pull apart the engine (that will be $2200). They are saying it is cylinders 3 & 7 causing the noise & the repair could be inexpensive (aside from the $2200) to very expensive (he only said "thousands").
Has anyone else experienced this? My fear is going forward with repairs on 2 of 8 cylinders, only to have issues in the future with other cylinders...it's only worth around $18-20K, but I would have thought I'd get a lot more miles on my MB without significant issues....curious if anyone else has experienced this (ie. is it a common issue or are we having a one off)?

I'm new to German cars. I just purchased two new 2021's. A BMW and a Mercedes. Based on everything I've read with the respects to German cars and reliability, you're right in the sweet spot for problems to start and be on going. Why did you not buy an extended warranty or get rid of the vehicle after warranty ran out? Just curious. I will most certainly be purchasing a comprehensive extended warranty for my vehicles before the original warranty expires or get rid of them. They are great looking and performing vehicles but, long term reliability, not so much.
Hi my name is Rob and I just bought my dream car a 2019 GLC 63 AMG S, basically brand new 5900km. The only ****ty thing is it doesn’t have Apple CarPlay if anyone know how to get this put on as an upgrade or what not hit me up.
