Lexus LX470
Hi all, I am K from Roanoke, VA. Long time lurker finally bit the bullet and joined. Grew up around a lot of old school diesel Mercs and loved them growing up but my father who obsessed about reliability never took the plunge. I want to finally have a fun car so hunting for a nice E63 estate for my wife, dog, and future child to enjoy. Looking forward to interacting and learning from/with you all.

Hello. My name is Stephane and am new to this forum.
I bought a 2010 GLK350 about five years ago and just love this car. It is an absolute beast especially for our Canadian winters.
Lately though, I have been runninig into some issues namely, ABS, cruise control codes and such. My research so far online seems to be pointing to a faulty wheel speed sensor which I would gladly change.
But to find the faulty sensor it would be best to get an OBDII diagnostc tool. That in itself is a challenge as I don't want to spend too much on one ($150.00) or less would be great.
Any recomendations?
Stephane.

I'm knew to this site . I have a 99 clk 320 w208 I brought for $600 . Yes $600 . I put a hood and front quarter panels on it . It ran for the entire summer last year . Then went down before Thanksgiving with a no crank no start . Started back up a week before Christmas. Then back down again the week of Christmas. It's been seating ever sense . I am trying to found out what the problem is . Have new battery. Could it be crankshaft or camshaft sensor ? I found a shop to take it to called BATTER BENZ . HE IS A RETIRED Mercedes Benz mechanic. But with christmas and hours cut at work it's hard to go to a shop . Need help please . I walk a total of 6-7 miles to and from work everyday . I use my mom car when I can . I'm in Plainfield IL. Someone help with some answers please . Glad to be apart of this site as well . I have read alot on here about it . But everyone's car cranks but don't start . Thank All For you input and Help .

Hi guys. Simon from Australia here. I recently picked up a very clean 2003 E55 AMG with 66,000 kilometres on the clock. Apart from some questionable minor mods it is largely unmolested and a total beast to drive. I've already found some of the information in these forums useful and hope I can add to the sharing at some point.

I own 2008 MB E350 4matic Sport option currently has 92K original miles and is due for appearance enhancement
I Have been searching for aftermarket wheels that in no way resemble OEM wheels. I have 18" all around and want to retain that size but because the wheel searches for 18 x 8.5J et38 w 5x 112 bolt pattern never provide anything but OEM style wheels I believe MB decided that owners wishing to *******ize their work of "art" should just junk it or learn to love it.
Anyone out there ever attempted to totally change wheels with success? I am currently rolling on aftermarket OEM style wheels due to original rims splitting while wearing Run-Flats on Georgia's pot hole highways.
This has been a disastrous choice of auto from the get-go. Previous year models were subject to recall for malfunctioning engines but though this vehicle was built in the final month of the last year's production using all that previous year engine parts and specs MB in their infinite wisdom (?) determined that they would continue to sell these defective engines but deny expanded service assistance. To repair their JUNK at owner expense is a serious blow to the wallet leaving an $11K hole in the billfold. If you have ever thought you have been screwed, I hope you 'at least' were kissed or received a firm hug. I did not.
Meanwhile, back to my original: Please send or post any link with STEEL wheels to fit my 2008 211 E350- 4 matic Sport option. No more allow wheels for me, even if I have to modify wheels or rotors to accommodate the fit. THANKS

are you able to program or repair keyfob that will start auto but no other functions.? fob was subjected to washer and dryer cycle/ was thoroughly dried in box of rice/ battery change./ reassembled and will not operate as designed. / i do not mind that i have to use physical key to lock & unlock but wish fob was fully operational. can provide all auto info and ship fob if your answer is in the affirmative and affordable.

I have been driving a 2014 E550 for the last few years. I buy 3 year old cars coming off lease with around 15,000 mi. The car is satisfactory but with a few years as a National competition license driving high performance sports cars, the E550 has adequate power but I want my car to have a limited slip differential and be able to drive off the rear wheels only. I have also found in those few areas where I can get to 130mph the brakes are not adequate and the car wallows on turns on the sports setting. So I am looking at 2018-2019 e63s cars with ceramic brakes and a "track" setting. I do drive up to 13 hours at a time am wondering about the sports seat option. I definitely want seats that message but like high bolsters and wonder how I would like them after and during that 13 hour drive.
I am also wondering whether if I am on the rear wheel drive setting if I can truly "dirt track" - drift the car?
Thank you for any responses.

I doubt I could afford it. Based on behavior on the track, I don't recall if in Road and Track or Car and Driver but the e63 S held up well against Porsches and many other cars on a Virginia track test of many cars. I also like the subtlety of Mercedes and note the police don't seem to pay a lot of attention to the sedans.
