Hey, everyone. First time MB owner. I did not intend on buying a MB. In fact, I have never been fond of MB. I started my day intending on purchasing a 2013 Jaguar XK with 48k miles. I took it for a spin and fell in love. When I returned, I noticed a black SL550 in the lot. I figured I would validate my purchase of the XK by taking the SL for a spin. Two hours later, I was the proud owner of a 2013 SL550 with only 12,200 miles..

Hello all I'm Donovan I have been in love with Mercedes cars since a young age my dad had the 1970 280s what a great car I had a few different models over the past 20yrs but dick with one for almost 5yrs now my baby needs a bit of work now but am busy restoring she's a w124 fitted with a w123 230e engine.
Maybe there's an obvious answer, but I am not understanding what all of the 'codes' mean, like W212, W214, etc. assuming they are codes for certain models or years? Please help and thank you

Your assumption is basically correct. The code refers to platforms that share common components. Sedans are usually W, coupes and cabriolets usually C, roadsters usually R, SUVs usually X. The numbers change as new platforms are introduced. For example, if you go to Forums > Sedans you will see the common classes C, E, S broken out into the various platforms. Inside each of the platforms is a description at the top showing the model years for that platform.
New member checkin - Me and my dog Louie, in our 1994 SL 320
Hello to my fellow members & Mercedes-Benz owners! My name is Cameron Baker, i'm a new member as of today, i'm 65 years old, and i live in Las Vegas, NV. I bought my 1st Mercedes, in 2015, it's a 1994 SL320 R129 . I'm the 3rd owner, and when i bought it, it had 124,000 miles on it. Now it has 195.000 miles on it. I love my car, but it's gotten old, so now i am fixing things that were ignored by the previous owner. Since i bought my car, i have wanted to buy an authentic MB complete repair manual, the same one that Mercedes mechanics use. But they are nowhere to be found, so i am going to need help from my fellow members, to fix certain things on my car. I will be very grateful if you guys will share your wisdom with me, so i can do most of the repairs myself.
Hello fellow Mercedes people.
im not sure how to post just yet but I’m sure it will come to me.
I was wondering if there is an easy way to feed a cable from the boot charging port into the cabin of my 2005 SL r230
i hate cables all over my dash & want to charge stuff behind my seat.

So I think I joined about 4 years ago but haven't really posted, tbh, forgot this website existed LOL Not until my recent upgrade when I wanted to look for more info on the car did I come across this website again.
2017 Dec: took delivery of a CLA250 Sport 4Matic (2017) in Jupiter Red. Had it stock for about 3 months (apart from ceramic coat within first week), then made some minor mods, mainly external, then started looking into exhaust, intake, BOV. After 4 years of ownership, had a few more exhaust mods done, downpipe and tuned. Then we had a new addition to our family and within 2 months of having our baby girl, things got a little cramped in the back and had to look at upgrading. Was great timing because my finance was finishing up and had a choice to either pay remaining amount owing in a balloon payment, upgrade by selling back the car to the dealership to pay remaining finance amount, or return and walk away. I obviously chose the upgrade option with a trade-in.

2021 Sept: took delivery of a GLA35 (2021) in designo Patagonia Red metallic (couldn't let move on from red, and my wife also said she wanted me to get another red car) with Titan Grey Pearl / Black Lugano Leather interior.. Dropped her off to get ceramic coated on the same day I took delivery and got her back a few days ago, looking incredibly glossy and shiny! Extras/Packages: AMG Aerodynamics Package, Vision Package, Innovation Package, 21-inch AMG Multi-Spoke Matt Black Alloy Wheels. I have plans for a few mods here and there but for the timbering, it's time to break her in carefully over the next 1500km - that's going to be incredibly difficult lol.
Some pics of her during delivery and after paint correction, decontamination and protection.

Brian here. I own an '08 CLK550 and I've been looking around to find some aftermarket performance parts, haven't had any luck. Any idea where I could find new or used performance parts? Definitely want to start with the exhaust. Any info or input is appreciated.

Hi Brian. Try the CLK forum where other CLK owners may be able to help you. Good luck

Howdy y'all! M-B noob here, excited to join the community. I just picked up my first M-B, a 2003 C32 AMG with ~30k miles. Beautiful car, drives amazing, looking forward to having it in my German stable for a while.
