Welcome New Members
The car in question:

Eight years ago my boss bought a 2008 CL 550 and it reignited my love of the brand. Over the years he let me drive it a few times to chauffeur him around and take my wife on dates. As of last Wednesday he gifted me the car as my 10 year bonus at work!
Over the years I've owned some nice cars, ie a Pontiac G8 GXP, a BMW 750i, an Impala SS, and more. They all suck compared to my new 550!
I'm excited to learn all I can about the car and hope I've found the right place to help me mitigate the Mercedes tax when little things need fixed.

I've owned 2004 Pontiac GTO manual, 2009 G8 GT, 2010 Camaro SS/RS Transformer Edition manual, 2015 Chevy SS manual, and a 2017 SS Automatic that I sold to coworker in 2018. My 2021 AMG Wagon was superior to my Holdens except for its performance suspension between DC and NYC on I95 corridor…kinda like last weekend’s Brazilian F1 Grand Prix where the drivers complained about the bumpy road surface after the circuit was resurfaced. The older drivers Alonso and Hamilton voiced the most complaints about their sore backs. I miss my AMG for its effortless all weather driving dynamics between my NM and GA residences. But still own my 2015 Chevy SS 6-stick and Ducati motorcycle for engagement with old school instrumentation and infotainment. As an aerospace Engineer I quickly mastered the W213 MBUX but prefer to drive with all my senses on the dangerous Road especially across the West Texas Oilfields and not be distracted by Screen Time on the first 9-hour leg to DFW then next day 12-hour Trek to the ATL area.
i test drove a S550 supercharged Coupe from your CL550 era and appreciated its Analog Premium Motoring Experience.
Enjoy!

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
New member, though I don’t have my own Benz yet. I applied to a Mercedes-Benz dealership for an auto technician position. I’m thoroughly classroom trained and do have personal experience with working on cars, and am looking forward to specializing in Mercedes-Benz vehicles. I already have three ASE certification exams passed and am awaiting certification pending my work experience.
Once I’m actually in the market, I’ll be shopping for an older AMG model with their 6.2 L M156 V8 engine. I haven’t decided on whether I should get the C219 CLS 63, W212 E 63, or the W221 S 63. They’re all reasonably priced compared to an R230 SL 63, which I’d consider getting. I’ve driven a friend’s C219 CLS 63 AMG a couple times and had a blast, but it does have some electrical problems that I’ve figured out their probable causes now. Can’t wait to get them sorted out.

Welcome!
Now all will have some electrical problems that can be solved easy with the right tools
The big difference will be ABC or not
ABC is by far the best suspension ever but requires serious maintenance
If maintenance is done as it should you will have nearly no problems
But make sure you have to budget
We just moved from a 2017 C43 Cab to a 2024 CLE450 Cab. Different cars and both right for the purpose.
I have a passion for cars and have found forums to be a great place to get information, aftermarket info, chase problems and further the hobby.
Looking forward to the ownership journey.
2017 C43
2024 CLE450

The doctor told my mother that she cannot drive anymore, so she gave me her 2018 Mercedes AMG GLC43. I have no clue about anything about this car other than it's stock, has 10k miles on it and it is fun to drive! As you can see from the pic above, I'm more of a Jeep person, but this car seems to be fun as well...My biggest issue with this car is it's designation. You search for AMG C43 and you get all manners of MB with none of them being this SUV...What do I call this thing? Which forum on this site is dedicated to this little SUV?
Thanks for reading...
