Hello everyone! My name is Charles and I'm in the DC area. I'm a long time lurker of the MBWorld site. I have LOVED AMGs for a while and finally decided to take the plunge. I just became the proud owner of an 04 E55 AMG, black on black. Previous cars include 2 turbo Supras but this is my 1st Benz. I just had the car delivered last night. Soon as I get some daytime, I'll post proper pics.

C class coupe
Hi everyone, I look forward from hearing from fellow car owners. I need to write a question regarding my 2012 c250 coupe, I'm not sur what the problem is and need help. On many occasions now I notice that when I pull away it seems that it sort of gets stuck in gear in auto ? First to second then just revs really high and won't change into 3rd. On the dial it the D is highlighted obviously but also the 2 next to it as well ?? It is really annoying me now and need to know what is wrong, can someone help ???

welcome aboard...
you should post this question on W204 forum as you won't find answers in this section...
how many miles on your C250?
maybe needs tranny fluid or TCU reset?

Hello mbworld
Hi all,
I've recently purchased a c200 kompressor coupe and could do with some advice, the car is fitted with the 6 speed manual gearbox, and every time I try to select second gear, she tells me no and gives me a horrible crunching noise instead, can I repair this easily? Or do I need a new gearbox.
Cheers, lee😉

Hello all. My name is Brian from Sacramento, CA. About a month ago, my wife and I traded in our well-used cars for our first two Mercedes. Both are 2011s... she's driving a ML350 in Steel Grey with only 17k miles, and I have a GL450 in Palladium Silver with 32k miles. We are enjoying both cars and have learned a lot from this forum.

Here are some photos of my GL450. Pardon the buggy windshield and dust... it's fresh from a weekend drive up to Lake Tahoe, where I got nearly 20mpg (better than the 13/18 rating). Also, pardon the landscaping in the background... new trees installed tomorrow!

2011 GL450, front-left. Ignore the front yard (mid-landscaping project!

2011 GL450, back-left.

2011 GL450, front. Perhaps I should have taken these photos post-car wash, ha!

2011 GL450, front-right. Again, pardon the buggy windshield from this weekend's mountain road trip.

2011 GL450, back-right.

Hey guys, I've been reading this site since I bought my 2010 C300 last year for help with a lot of stuff and finally got around to joining. Still stock everything right now but I just cracked my 2nd rim so I'm thinking of putting black Advanti Hybris' on. In the 13months I've had the car I've had to get a new alternator, tensioner pulley (+belt) and an EIS 2 weeks ago but love my car anyway. I'm also planning to throw a lip on the trunk and looking for a rear diffuser that isn't carbon fiber to replace the ugly piece of plastic on the rear bumper And maybe some exhaust tips.

Gerry, new to the forum from Daytona Beach Shores. Ordered my first MB, a GL350 in March. Supposed to be built this week, delivery early June. Hope forum can help with my inevitable questions, and will provide input on my experiences.

Stu
Thanks for the welcome. This is my first post and I'm still working out the machinations of the site!
I do have a question to anyone who can help me.

I have a 2002 ML 500 (W163) and I love it! It's low K's and I want to give it a facelift and upgrade. I have been offered a 2001 ML55 AMG exhaust system for my car. But will it fit, from the manifold back or is there an easier option back from the mufflers?

Also what kind of performance chip do I need to tune the car up?

It's only done 130,000 kilometres and purrs like a kitten.

I look forward to any feedback...and thanks again for the warm welcome.

Cheers,

Stue.

welcome aboard stue...
55 mufflers probably won't do much improvement with sound...
you might wanna check with aftermarket mufflers such as remus...
ECU flash tuning is available for your car...
