I'm assuming you're non-US and this is a w204 platform right? Unfortunately there's just not much out there, and none in CF. Carlsson has a kit as does JP Vizage, but not in CF. No one makes anything for the luxury sedan, only the sport so quite a few have swapped to sport bumpers because of this.

Been a member here since 2004 when I had my first C Class, a C200 203 Facelift. Since then I've had an early C 204 220CDi, a C204 180 Elegance, sadly written off after 6 weeks, not my fault, then a S204 C180 Sport which replace it and now a C220CDi, W205.

The fact that I havn't really contributed a lot, demos that I hadn't much to contribute due to few problems over that time! However, I think things might change with this car!! So I'll try to put a post into the right place as a start and hope that somebody can help.

Thanks for reading this,

Ernie

W204 lurker finally decided to get on here...funny how when you buy a new car you immediately notice all of the other ones on the road - not that I didn't notice W204s before, always liked their design!

New here!

Bought an older one because I enjoy the body style. Immaculate condition with only 107k on the clock. I'm loving it so far!

Here's a couple pics of her:

2005 E-320 CDI
e-320 CDI you can never have just one

Hello, just bought my second E-Class. The perfect car as far as I am concerned. Mine is a 2005 E-320 CDI and it has 150K. She is gold... I call her Gold-E. https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/tongue.gif

My first one is a black 2006 E-320 CDI and it currently has 220K. I am hooked.

Happy to be here.

C300
Hey all! Sara (SA) from Phoenix here. Just bought a 2009 C300 with ~78k on it. Really think there's some potential with this one. I know zero about mercedes (all JDM prior to this-not really by choice) and there's a lot I'd like to do with this car (mostly cosmetic until I figure it out). I've been lurking for a couple of weeks. I've debadged it but it's only the start. Planning on giving it a little overhaul (rooms, grill, Vinyl wrap for exterior chrome, paint correction, etc) and of course, all scheduled maintenance.

Glad to be here!

Hey everybody my name is Jerry, i'm from Jacksonville Florida. I've been using mbworld for a little bit but this is my first time making a profile I have a 500 Mercedes-Benz W220 2000 and this is my first Mercedes Benz what's done to her right now is a full exhaust system along with brand-new coilovers getting rid of the air ride system.

1995 E300, 2013 Forester 2.5X Premium Plus 5-spd, 1999 Jeep Wrangler Sport
Hi all - I've followed this forum for a while now but finally created a profile. I've had several MB's over the years, starting with a grey-market '82 280SL, a '68 230 "Heckflosse" (fintail), an '84 190D 5-spd, an '85 190E, and now a 1995 E300. I've had a lot of work done to the E300, including all-new engine mounts, new shocks, new rear suspension links and bushings, and a few other things to improve the overall feel of the car. I have the original 8-hole wheels, but it currently has CLK rims on it. I've also had 50% tint applied all around, and swapped the front corner lights with clear ones and the rear taillights with darkened ones. Let me know what you think! I'll post more pics as I take them.

Hi Sara

Grats on the w204 pickup. Good initial mod list! Looks like she's already had a few mods to her done from what I can see. Might be shadows, but looks like the front grille already has some of the chrome bits blacked out. And looks like clear side markers and aftermarket fogs?

Welcome to MBWorld. Let us know if we can help you convert some of the other lighting over the HIDs/LEDs. Eyebrows, rear plates, signals, interior, reverse, etc

Hi Julie. Grats on the second w211! It is a great platform with a timeless design.

Welcome to MBWorld. Many I know have converted from air to steel for the reliability, predictable handling, and lower cost maintenance. Good call.

Hubert Drouin here. My current Benz is a 2011 E550 with 50,00kilometres. It's my fourth MB after owning a 1985 Jaguar, a 1978 Audi and a 1992 Audi Turbo. Much prefer the recent lineage of vehicles.

Front grille is shadows (unfortunately). Not sure what is up with the fog lights. Previous owner did make additions, though. He didn't really seem like a car guy. Said he "covered the fog lights with blue tinted protective film." I know very little about lighting, so I couldn't tell you much, just that the passenger side is out, chrome is chipping and the blue looks pretty silly with the yellow(er) strips down there.

Ok, I can tell you right off the bat you've got an aftermarket front grille, aftermarket clear sidemarkers, and aftermarket fog assembly from that pic. Previous owner didn't give you the original parts with your purchase?

c32 amg need i say more
smk

hi my name is Shawn from san Antonio Texas I found my wife a 2002 c32 silver like the original brochure. I grew up around mb because of my step dad he is a German master mechanic and has a very reputable shop in town. I started working on late model vw in like 1998 I am self thought mechanic, mobile electronics installer,(90 coorado,81 rabbit gti, 88 gti,86 cbrio). I found this car and I have never looked back at VW.my roots will always be there but now AMG for life!!!!
I get a lot of info from the web so I decided that I can start giving some back. I had the infamous battery dead after 2 day problem from the beginning and found that pass seat module was the culprit so I took what was out there and made it better. I will post it soon, and put up some pics look forward to getting to know u all..

No, I didn't end up with any stock items. I know he did the replaced the fog lights, just didn't think to ask if he was the one who changed them out or if it was the owner prior to him (I'm 4th owner. Owner #2 bought the car for his GF, had it for a week then returned it when he discovered his GF was cheating on him. He still somehow managed to paint the rims in that time, so I wouldn't doubt he did it.) I rushed the research/purchase process on the car, so it was my bad not realizing/caring much that it was aftermarket and should come w/stock parts.

Attached are a few better photos of side marker and fog lights--quite a mish-mash of lights, if you ask me. Like I said, I'm new to MB and this is the newest car I've owned. I haven't explored much yet but am very interested in hearing your suggestions and learning more about repairs and modifications on German vehicles!

Welcome to MBWorld Tessa. Love the older w126s. Classic design.

lol, your ride sounds like she's had quite a history. Yeah so with the fogs, not only are those aftermarket, but cheap crappy ones that look to be falling apart. Is it just a cover bezel with integrated LED over the OEM fog though? If it's just the cover, you might be able to just purchase the OEM chrome bezel for fairly cheap and bring it back to stock fogs. The lamin-x can just be pulled off if you don't like the blue, but it is a good idea to have something there to protect those fogs as those have a tendency to crack with road debris. Lamin-X has clear as well as yellow film if you want to change it up. As for the clear sidemarkers, those look to be ok, but you might want to change out the bulb as it's causing some scorch marks it appears. If you want, we have LED replacement bulbs there. Let us know if we can help

Looks like I have a lot to learn from my missed time. Haven't driven MB since 2002 S600 coupe what a beauty that was! After a long hiatus I'm back with a totally different perspective on vehicles.

2010 SLK350
Wink 3rd Benz

Bought my 2010 SLK350 last year with 21,000 miles on it. I've owned a 1969 280SE/C and a 450SL (forget what year). Came back to Mercedes from a 1990 Caterham Super Seven and then a 2013 MX-5 because, at 72 I wanted comfort but also a roadster.
