I'm jay, I have an 2004 e320 4matic w211. I recently had some trouble and diagnosed the problem to being my abs sensors. In trying to replace the rear sensors both were lodged in the housing and would not break free without breaking the sensor. So now both are still in the housing with virtually no easy way to get them out. Are there any recommendations for what I can do to get them out
Welcome to MBWorld Jay. I'd try posting that question in the w211 subforum to see if anyone else also has the same ABS sensor issue and if they had success removing it.
My name is Billy Peebles from Chesapeake, Va and I just purchased my first 2009 C63
Welcome to MBWorld Billy. Grats on the w204 pickup. She's a beast for sure with that great sounding big block V8! Let us know if we can help you upgrade some of her lighting. We have a development w204 in house so have her fully specced out. We have plug and play white LED and HID options available.

Welcome to MBWorld Eddie. What year is your E55? W210? W211?
Hi all. Owned a 2005 CLK 500 for a while now, and have lurked around the forum picking the many experienced brains when necessary. Thought it was about time I came 'out'. Cheers, Leon.
Hello. This is my very first post and as of Friday I'm now a first time owner of a Mercedes Benz. I've been trolling since Wednesday and I'm both joyful and terrified at the same time. There's a ton of information on these broads, for which I'm so thankful. Yet on the other hand I feel that I need a PHD to navigate it all.
Ok, enough with the blah blah blah.
What did I get, and why?
I picked up a 2002 C230K aka CL203 below value due to heavy rusting on the doors and wheel wells. All plenty fixable. But I have other plans and this is where I need your help. If for nothing else to keep me accountable. I'd like to do the silver arrows proud. Ok here's the deal. I'd like to transform this little guy into a dedicated track car. Na Sayers may say I should have gotten this or than but this is the platform. I don't come across any of theses coupes at the track and that maybe for good reason but I'm up to the challenge. I've been a BMW guy and its time for something different.
I'll leave the powertrain as is for now barring the quick wins. After driving the car it seems to push in the corners so I intend to focus on the suspension and brakes first. Based on what I've read here it seems that swapping out the diff to something strong and possibly and different ratio is also in order. Suggestions here are welcome as I have no clue. Best if it blots right in.
I'd like to start the teardown next week (hopefully scaling the car first) and start prepping for a cage. But before we go there, what should I be looking for. For instance. Can I totally disable the air bags and remove them with out the computer freaking out. I'll stop here for now but I'm looking forward to the build and to sharing my experience with you.
I just bought a 2007 "Launch Edition" Designo Mocha black CL550, which looks new (50k miles). Sweet car. My dad was one of the first MB dealers in GA (Albany, GA), so I've been around, and in love with, these cars for 50+ years. I live in Alpharetta, GA.
I'm looking for info on how to stream music to the car (it has no AUX plug or AUX position in the Radio system).
Also trying to figure out whether I need to update the GPS Map (don't know how to tell the version of the installed map) and where to get an update, if it's needed.
My Name is Bertie from new Zealand and drive a 2002 C32-AMG.
I hope I can get it sorted with all the wealth of info that is on this forums.
Cheers Bertie
So far we only have the 2000 c230. We got it in 2013 with only 38k miles. We're not exactly in love with the ownership experience, but it's fun to drive. Hopefully this forum will have shortcuts for us when necessary.
Thanks.
Hello! My name is Joy and I just bought a certified pre-owned 2015 SLK 350 with only 2,800 miles on it. My last three cars have been BMWs, but my hubby has an SLK 550 which he loves so I thought I would give MB a try.
So far I love the car but I have a couple questions which I will post in the appropriate forums. If I did it right there should be a picture of my car attached.
Hola todos
I recently bought a 2000 clk 320 convertible. It's the first merc I have ever owned and I have fallen hopelessly in love with it. It brings a huge grin to my face every time I see it. It looks great, it drives great, it's not stupidly quick but it's quick enough for me and it holds the road fantastically. It has real character. It feels like more than just a car. I've driven Audis and BMWs and Jags but none of them seduced me like my merc has. I feel like a kid who just passed his test. I just want to drive everywhere in it. I drove it from the UK to Andalucia, Spain and spent a couple of months driving it around there and it was heaven. Sorry to bang on but I LOVE MY MERC...
Picked up a 2010 Iridium E63 in Az last week - very impressed so far..... coming for a long line of Audi's and this is my first Merc.... love the motor and looking forward to getting her tweaked a bit..... already ordered of some HRE's and new sneakers and a few CF bits.....
Learning lots reading the board - and much apprecaite the insights folks share...
Noted that no one seems to offer a catback for the 212 series ? ..... or am I missing something....
Headed to Eurocharged this week as they're in town and will likely do a tune, intakes and 2nd cat deletes....
On Friday my wife and I became newbie Merc owners by buying our first C-Class C270 CDI (w203). The dealer was amazingly patient with me (they must have felt like dealing with me) and helped us through the process (while my wife bartered dealer down on all the reasonable items). We have now spent 72h with the car and are absolutely loving it!
Took it for a 400mile round-trip saturday just for kicks and to stretch it's legs a little. Managed to get a healthy 44.4MPG on the way back even with giving it a bit of welly.
As the weather has not been great I have not yet taken photos however here are some from the dealer's advert for those of you that like some pix.
(chaps, not sure why my pix won't show so I will try a separate post with pix. Come one come all)

Hello all, I recently bought a 2016 C450 in Polar White with black leather and red stitching interior. This is my first Mercedes and so far I really like it. Traded in a GS350 and what a difference. Not sure I like the all season run flat tires but so far that is the on
Y compliant.
Hoping I can ask some advice from you fine gentlemen...
In Cyprus I cant get white primer let alone a spray gun and psi compressor etc. Cypriots here have hit off both wing mirrors for parking in their (public parking) space. Scratched side of car for parking in their (public parking) preferred space, and the sun damage to bonnet and roof was terrible. The guy I bought the car from used a cheap scratch hider so about a month later all these scratches came up...
Anyway car doesn't feel great and none of this was any fault of my own so took matters into own hands. Wanted to know if a normal non-professional could pick up spray cans and revitalize his car. Here's how I got on:
Today went to check on car and some Cypriot guys shouting at me to move the car. Then noticed the same guy had stolen my new polishing cloths and scrapers etc... I just smiled.
So far: Tape car -> prime car -> paint white on primer -> sandpaper drips -> paint white until drips gone.
No clear coat, no buffing, no rubbing compound, no wet sanding... just primer and 27 cans of white gloss and lots of care and attention.
My problem is I have shadows of white despite having a thick base coat. Probably just because its an outside job and spray paint in wind etc isn't great.
Should I use a thick foam block by hand lightly skim the top surface with rubbing compound, then buff and clear coat? Or wet sand, then buff and clear coat? I've never wet sanded before and doesn't feel right on a thick base coat...
