Firts Benz!
Just bought my first Benz. It is an awesome car, I've had it a week and unfortunately Ivery been smelling gas after filling it up, so I think I have a bad tank or fuel sending unit that is common with the w211! I called MB customer support and it's not covered under the extended warranty!

That's what I thought, I called MB customer support and they said my car had a federal warranty that was an extra 5 years or 80,000. My car has 89,000 so since my car had that warranty the other extended warranty won't cover it! Sounds like a bunch of **** to me! I don't know what to do?

Personally I'd recommend you talk with locals or folks on here, and find a reputable independent repair shop ("indy" as we call them) as soon as it's feasible.
In the long run, it's the best way to save coin, short of turning wrenches yourself.

So took my car into the dealership I bought it at and they tried to seal it but there is a crack by the fuel pump so it needs a new tank. The good news is they said I don't have to pay for it!! Such a relief! Don't know how long they will have it though

Update on my car, just got it back and 2,600$ for parts and 3,500$ labor! Ruck me funning I'm glad I didn't have to pay for that! I just pray to the god above nothing else goes wrong with it!
