Rookie German barge owner from DXB
Hi All,
I felt it was about time I introduced myself, after lurking around this forum and many others, looking for information before I went ahead and pulled a trigger.
I'm from Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and just placed an order (through an importer) for an E55 AMG S210, in Obsidian.
My first preference was for one in silver, but I could only find the pre-facelift models in that colour and 'settled' for one in black.
I've owned various cars in the past and this is meant to be a replacement for my current weekend car, a '95 Mazda MX5/Miata. I've always wanted a RWD wagon, and decided between getting a Beamer or a Merc. Since the Missus, also a petrolhead (my father-in-law worked at the Mercedes AD in UAE for 42 years until he retired fairly recently), liked the ones by Merc more, I decided to get a W210 since they're known to be very reliable, and I frankly don't like the interior of the W211.
I was about to purchase an E430 but since the Missus said the AMG looked better (I agreed too, but it always helps to keep the wife happy haha), I went for the S210.
More photos to follow once it arrives!

Thanks guys!
I've been kind of obsessed lately, looking for parts and modifications whenever I get some free time. Currently deciding on the brake pads and head unit![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
It's one of those rare cars that look so good stock that there's no real need to modify it further.
And in case you're wondering who the guy in the pic is:
Always cracks me up.
