Hello from Cleveland Ohio! E350
Hey everyone!
Been a guest lurker on this forum for a couple years knowing that I would soon own a Mercedes and would need to research some cars.
Been eyeing the move to a Mercedes for a while. Have owned cars from a great majority of manufacturers, but never personally owned a Mercedes until now. I had bought a 2013 Avalon that I ended up trading in on a certified 2013 white E350 Sport 4matic with premium seats in light brown. Car was new with the AMG wheels, but previous owner replaced them with the smaller wheels for comfort. I had new AMG wheels/tires negotiated back into the deal. The E-class in 4matic hold their value pretty well where I live, and especially so if it is kept in good condition. That was the case with mine, which is why I didn't hesitate to get it. It has an unlimited mile warranty until June 2020.
I've had it for just over a month now and haven't had any huge issues. Have fading wood/air getting behind wood trim which is being taken care of. A small issue with tire vibration which I'm not too worried about. Seems like the gas cap plastic attachment link stayed bent for too long while it was closed and caused it to warp...that was an easy fix. And the common occasional "dry clanking" noise the engine makes when starting up. That's it so far.
Got led parking lights and LED's, along with Morimoto 5500 35w low-beams installed. Also tinted it 35 front 20 rear.
The first pic is everything stock the way I first got it. Then everything should be self explanatory along with my loaner car while I was getting the new AMG wheels and tint installed, and the night shot showing how the lights/LED's look
.
Enjoy, and feels good to finally have something to post on here!

Thanks guys! I've have one hell of a busy year...I wouldn't know where to even start. Haven't had much time to enjoy some of the automotive forums I'm a member on, including this one.
With that said, I realized I'm just about to celebrate my 1st anniversary with my E350...don't laugh I've had a few issues with it. In the year I've owned it, I've put about 22,000 miles(normal for me).
These are some of the issues I've had, all of which were covered under original and extended warranty(unlimited miles until June 2020):
-Front wood trim was fading(common). Replaced all the wood trim in the car.
-Awd binding noise when turning(common at 40k miles). Flushed transmission and transfer case.
-Engine stalling issue during startup. Reinstalled ECU and updates from software shipped from Germany by request of technicians from Germany.
-Squeaking noise when driving over bumps. Techs thought it was bad strut. Replaced front struts, but noise didn't go away. Attached sound device to wheel while driving and found out it was caused by a loose brake caliper.
Those were pretty much the only real problematic areas. I've had to repair 2 wheels due to bad roads where I live. What can I do. Hard to avoid them sometimes.
One thing I've noticed during my lifetime of owning cars is that I've had reliable cars that I couldn't care less about, and I've others from the opposite spectrum that I've gotten really attached to. I've gotten really attached to this car. I never knew I would get so much hate from it though. I had a person who drove a Toyota Camry from 2 generations ago, who wouldn't stop giving crap about owning an 'unreliable car from Germany,' and praising the camry non-stop. Why can't some people understand that there are those that are okay with having just a "camry," and there are those that want to enjoy the experience that isn't offered with an appliance-like car...especially his exact camry.
Okay...peace guys.
