2003 e500 and 2005 e55 amg
Newbie to the forum

Hello Everyone,

I'm a new member here and would like to say "Hello". I came from 2000 540i and have since sold for a 2003 e500 (july 2015). I have purchased purchased a 2005 e55 amg (April 2016).

My e500 with 136000 miles is currently running great and is my daily driver.

My e55 with 111000 miles is another story....it's a work in progress. I took a chance purchasing it since it was not running. I was "told" that it just lost all power as it was being driven and the guy didn't want to put any money into it. I had it towed home, but for 3k I figured I wouldn't be at a loss.

I look forward to befriending some knowledgeable members here to assist in my transformation from a non-working e55 to a running one.

Joe

Thank you Mercedesbenzs55.

I've been checking things out throughout my e500 purchase and you guys here seem like a great group.

I just signed up, so my profile is a work in progress. I just attached my e500. Unfortunately my e55 picture is only being unloaded off the flatbed.

Welcome to MBWorld. I see you're in socal. If you need someone to help get that E55 back up and running, suggest hitting up Serge over at Benzworks in Huntington Beach. They have a lot of experience, especially with the w211 AMG model and have faith they can help get her back up and running. They have a STAR diagnostics tool as well.

Let us know if we can help you upgrade the lighting on either E classes.
