So I'm the new guy here...

MRAMG1 told me about this site, but up until last week, I wasn't part of the family officially... well, now I am with the addition of a 2014 E63 sAMG.

So I have one question... I'm in Pittsburgh PA, and I'm looking for a wheel repair place. I have a couple scratched up rims I'd like to get taken care of.

Thoughts?

Oh, and I'll post some pictures here before too long!

Kevin.

Welcome to MBWorld. How deep are the scratches? Just surface paint level that can be sanded down or bad curb rash/gouges that need filling?

2 aren't bad, probably sandable. The front one my guess is it's going to need filled and sanded. Dealership I bought the car from is taking care of the nasty one, they were being dicks about the other two, which aren't that bad, but they aren't 'perfect'. I have no idea what this kind of work costs, I've never screwed up a rim in my life. The rest of the car was dead nuts on for what I was looking to find for 2 years, and, I had already flown to the lot to get the car.

Thanks for the reply.

When I get home I'll take a picture of them.

Welcome I have never had a rim repaired. I guess I was just lucky. I would google repair places in your area or try the Junk yards. You may be able to pick up a whole good rim for what it would cost to repair one.

Welcome to MBWorld! If you do a Google search for a wheel refurbishing place near you I'm sure some places will pop up. I did find this while doing a quick search: http://www.awrswheelrepair.com/pittsburgh. Hope you enjoy the new ride and if you ever need anything be sure to let me know.
