Just purchased my first Mercedes. 2002 E430, and I must say, why haven't I thought about buying a Benz before?
This car runs like a top, super clean, and very well maintained. There has to be at least a dozen service books all filled in from the same dealership.
It was driven by an older gent, and his grandson inherited it. I guess he didn't like the fact of driving an "old man" car...
It had an issue with the driver seat not going fore and aft. The kid told me he took it to his mechanic friend, and couldn't find anything wrong. I got it home, and started looking into it. Found some coins in the track. Took those out, and went to check the fuses. Sure enough blown fuse. It's all good now. Aside from stone chips and some little scratches, the body is perfect. Now I just have to sort out the headlights. I'm almost positive it was retrofitted to HIDs (poorly at that), but it has bulbs at which I'm at a loss to what type of bulbs they are.
I'll post details and pics in the appropriate forum.
Look forward to learning a few things from you guys/gals.

If they just did a simple HID conversion, it should still be H7. If you want to swap previous kit out, we have quality Morimoto HID conversion kits available.

I do know the car comes with h7's unless the factory hid was installed, but the fleabay kits (which I am certain this is one) rarely ever fit properly. I think someone has mangled the mount for the bulbs. There are two self drilling sheetmetal screws holding in a spring clip which is just basically pushing on the back of the bulb. I have another vehicle which uses h7, and there is a spring Clio, but it swings in and locks in a tab. It is definitely not secured with sheetmetal screws.
I may have to remove the lights to get a good look at it, and see if I can fix it to a point that the bulbs are secure.
