Hey folks,

I've been a longtime lurker and have used many of the tips and how to's on this site with great success.

I have a 2003 C230 Kompressor.

I'm looking for a how to/walk through for replacing the valve cover gasket. Had a check engine light and pulled a misfire code. Went to the local auto parts store for some new spark plugs and when I pulled the first plug to replace it, the plug seating area was filled with oil...

I have found a few videos and walk thoughts on similar models, but I haven't been able to find one specifically for my '03 C230.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks pelican. I found the tutorial on your site. So the tutorial is for the w203, but it doesn't list the C230 kompressor as a model that the walk through applies to. And the pictures do not look like my motor.

Here's a link to the walk through:

Hi Dave. Thanks for the welcome.

At at the moment my C230 is in my driveway locked in between three other cars. No good angle to take a picture. I'm sure I have some on my computer though... will look.

In the meantime, I did take a few pictures of the motor.

Ordered the gasket today.

Can anyone provide me with the torque specs and the bolt tightening order?
