Went to MB dealership for the first time on Saturday and let them know i was missing the start button. I was surprised she gave me the start button for free in a matter of minutes. I was even more surprised to see the wife and kids snapping pics of the AMGs a few steps away. Out of my budget right now unfortunately.
I looked up my VIN and learned a few things. Kinda bummed out my E550 doesnt have the Keyless Go option so I guess I get to figure out whats a suitable substitute. After glancing at the manual, and looking up my VIN I also learned why my E550 was also missing some buttons, like the ride height and suspension settings. Though at the same time thats less for me to worry about.
Besides that, its been great so far. Got the MityVac just for it for when I do the oil change. Didnt work on the Honda but great on the Audi. Car seems to wobble while breaking hard and vibrate on the highway at 60mph+ so its probably waiting for an alignment. Then figure out just how far off I am on the maintenace schedule (nothing in glove compartment and irs Carfax looks empty with just a tire rotation and couple oil changes). Fortunately I have a local mobile auto tech who does anything from engine swaps to installing turbos who can help (replaced all 4 brakes+rotors for total of $150 on the Audi, in my garage, in 45minutes; also worked for MB and owned his own repair shop). Yup, excited. Been wanting to work on my own cars for while.
If only during braking it's a rotor.
If only at low speed (30mph) is a bent wheel or wheel with gunk between it and the hub flange
If only at highway speed (60mph+) with no braking, it is a bent wheel or an out of balance wheel
