Hi All

Bought a 2005 W211 E220 at the end of last year. Absolute beauty. Strange history...Bought by BandB owner who sold it to his daughter, she sold it back to him, he sold it to me, I sold it to a work colleague and then bought it back from him last September. Only done 53k now and its immaculate inside and out. Always loved my SAABs until now, sold it first time round to buy another SAAB and regretted it straight away. Glad I got it back! Joined this site because it has an issue with the indicators but I guess not the right place to discuss here so I'll ask in the relevant place when I find out how. I'm looking forward to becoming a member of the Mercedes owner family if I'm accepted. I feel I can learn an awful lot from this site and hopefully add

something to it.

Thanks for the welcome

Hi speedlimit.

Thanks for your quick welcome.

Yes it is clean as a whistle. I love it and cant stop looking at it out of the window. I know that's a bit sad compared to some of the cars people have on here but you have to start somewhere and I dont have unlimited funds for a daily driver. Might be scacralidge, but I've treated it to some new aftermarket wheels. Same size and similar looking to the originals but the Merc ones had quite a bit of surface corrosion on and let the car down. These are going for a a PROPER refurb and will go back on the car when they're done. I'll keep the aftermarket ones for winter. Thanks again for getting in touch. Kind regards

I love the classic look of the W211.

That's quite a story too. Enjoy the ride

Thanks all for the welcome.

Had the door mirror autofold disabled since I had the car. Always an interesting surprise to see what they would do after they folded: and opened again. Drivers side didnt adjust generally and indicator on passenger side might and might not work.Dashboard would display fault. I have made use of the lockdown and completelty rewired both sides over the last couple of days, and they work like new now! Anyone want any info on cable I used etc etc just let me know. I have posted a question regarding the job bit didnt get a reply so took it on and all came good. The issue was I had two broken wires on the passenger side, both black!! Anyway after a bit of detective work sorted out which was which. I feel a bit of an authority on this job now, but shoot me down in flames if you think differently. Again all, thanks for the welcome!!!!
