Hello everyone I’m new on here. I have a 2008 ml550. I’m having an issue with the radio not working correctly. Cd works only. Display is always stuck with Mercedes logo. I purchased the optic fiber loop. Jumper the voice tele first and everything worked perfectly for about 5 mins. Then back to the same old. Not sure what else to check. I removed all the fuses to do a reset and nothing. Does the rear Sam have anything to do with the radio? I ask that cause it was wet.

no. Purchased it with radio not working. When I rain is when everything else started acting up.
@Ag1179 The W164, your vehicle's chassis designation, is prone to water leakage, mainly in the rear. The water leaks cause myriad electrical problems. Have a look in your spare tire well/rear cargo compartment floor for signs of water infiltration. Also look along the D-pillar from the liftgate hinge down to the taillamps for signs of leakage. Try posting your findings in the W164 section of the site.

I found the leak. It was from the tail lights. Cleaned the rear Sam. Everything is working ok but the radio is the issue. Wanted to know if the rear Sam has anything to do with the radio not working correctly?
