So after considering getting a Mercedes for a long time and with my wife's blessing, I finally picked up a 1992 190e-8. Plans are to fix it up and get it ready for some road trips. Thought it would be a good idea to join the forums as I clean up the car. Look forward to posting here.
Welcome. Looks like you got a nice one. As a fellow W201 owner I can say wholeheartedly that W201s are the best. They're pretty bullet proof with regular and proper maintenance. Be sure to visit the W201 section of this forum where fellow W201 owners will be more than glad to help you. How many miles are on your W201 and which engine do you have?
@190Efan I really appreciate that, I just subscribed to the W201 section of the forum so I'll be popping in from time to time.
Regarding mine, it's the standard 190e 2.3-8 valve with about 200k on the clock.
You're welcome. Will look for you in the W201 section. FYI, since both the 2.3 and 2.6 engines are 8v, it's best to refer to your car as a 2.3 so people will know which engine you have and can better help you with any engine issues as there are differences between the 2.3 and 2.6 engines.
