New Member checking in! - 2019 C43 AMG Wagon - Seattle
Hi all- I'm new here!
My name is Kevin, I live in a suburb of Seattle, and this week I bought a (legally-imported, Canadian-market) 2019 C43 AMG Wagon. This is my first M-B car, though my previou partner owned a 2009 E63 AMG sedan which was an absolutely amazing car in terns of both engineering and assembly.
I got the car because it's a performance wagon, which is missing in tis size/price range from the US market. I've historically been a hatchback or wagon guy, but specifically have been a Saab/Volvo guy. I've owned two Saab 900 hatchbacks, a 1991 Saab 9000 Turbo (5-door), a factory-ordered 2004 Volvo V70R 6MT, a 2004 Saab 9-5 Aero wagon, and a 2006 Saab 9-3 Aero wagon, plus a 2016 VW GTI Autobahn... all manual transmission. The first non-manuala car I owned was a 2017 Audi S6, which has been replaced by the C43 wagon. I bought the Audi because I needed more space than the GTI could provide, and there was no modern performance wagon available when I bought. it When I saw this C43 wagon come for sale, I jumped on it.
As the W205 C-class wagon was not sold in the US market, it will be a very rare car for me to own in Seattle. I'm looking forward to getting to know the car and to fun times ahead with it!
Money shot! Making friends with his new brother in the garage!

Hey congrats on the wagon! I was actually the other interested party! I have an opportunity to get into another C43 Estate I found and would love to pick your brain about your experience so far with it. I don’t have enough posts to private message. Please message me with an email or phone #. I really don’t want to let this one slip through my fingers like last time when you bought this. 🤷🏼♂️ I greatly appreciate any help/wisdom you can give me on the ownership process of an imported C43 Estate. thanks Chasen
Just wanted to give a shout out to @kr900 for his help today! He checked out a potential purchase of a C43 estate for me today having only talked with me over the forum and text. Super helpful and went out of his way to give me more confidence in the buying process. Thanks again Kevin!
Kevin (kr900) - Great car you've picked up!, I too would like to pick your brain on your recent transaction. I can't send PM's because my "winnibago" account sat dormant on MBWORLD forum for too long. My handle "winnibago" is active on e90post and Rennlist however. Can you please somehow reach out to me via PM? or email/text? I'm located in Boston and have been recently trying to navigate the Canadian market to get a C43 longroof stateside.

@Chsnsurf - did you ever pull the trigger on the wagon?
