R231 SL 63
Newbie from Hampton Roads Virginia
Just a quick introduction…
My name is Tom and I’m from the Hampton Roads region of Virginia (United States).
I’m proud owner of a (new to me) 2013 SL63. This SL was last owned by another forum member here before being traded in. Happy to be the next in line to care for this incredible automobile.
Though I’ve owned a number of Daimler-Benz cars (SRT Chryslers), this is my first full-on Mercedes-Benz product. I dated a lady that had an R230 - fell in love with the car and made a promise to myself that I’d eventually procure one. Originally, I had been looking at the older AMG cars, but this one fell into my lap. The Mrs loved this one in particular compared to the older R230 cars we were interested in, and it had been impeccably maintained by MB so we went for it.
The SL63 will be replacing a 2018 Challenger Hellcat that we leased and then bought. It has been an amazing bucket list car to own, but we wanted to transition to something a little more cruise/trip friendly with a drop top. The SL63 is going to foot that bill well!
Just waiting on the shipping to wrap up. Looks like an early Xmas is on tap!
