New to Mercedes
New to me 2012 E350 4Matic 140,000mi car with some a few options. This is my first Mercedes-Benz what a beautiful vehicle to drive. It has some neglected maintenance which I am catching up on. Lots of great info out there to help.

First major bit of overdue maintenance to do was rear suspension. Both rear springs were broken which I guess is actually a pretty common problem. I lucked out both broke at the bottom on last 1/4-1/2 turn inside the control arm, some break in the middle of the spring.
All OEM parts went in. New springs, shocks, shock mounts, lower (spring) control arms and shims
Not a bad job on jack stands took about 4-4.5hrs all in all. Probably could have used the control arms but the left side was missing its plastic cover and was pretty crusty. I opted to just replace both and the inner hardware.
The shocks and shock mounts themselves are not a difficult job. Its more labor intensive just to access the mount bolts. You may be able to access without removing the entire panel in the trunk however removing completely doesn't take long.

I got the front seat cover done with the help of @MB212 on YouTube. Guy has a bunch of videos with great camera angles and detail. The wrinkle on the front in the after photo worked itself out after about a day or so and few times in and out of the vehicle. The cover is genuine OEM from FCPEuro, took me about 2-2.5 hours total and I have never done this kind of work ever. My W212 is equipped with the storage bin on the front of the seats. I removed the bin itself yet still fought with rolling and snapping the cover into the seat pan. I finally drilled out the rivets to the bin bracket and the cover went on much easier. Anyone doing this themselves with the seat storage bins save yourself the time and remove the bracket and rivet back on when once the cover is in place.
