Hi guys. I'm new to posting, but have used the site for years to help research some issues i have had with my 2009 SL63 with the P30 option over the years.. It has been a great car but the time is getting closer for me to sell. Four other cars and only a three car garage. LOL
I drive a newer SL, mostly because I wanted a convertible. I really like the styling of your era SL. a couple of questions, what is the motor/transmission combination? The reason I am asking is that I like some of the performance features of modern cars, but the styling of yesteryear MB. Most of the performance, suspension, braking etc, is hidden by the styling.
Oh, and I was a lot like you, I had questions about my previous 2 MBs and joined in the late 2000’s. When I came back, I couldn’t find my original login, so I rejoined with a new one.

Mine has the P030 very rare PERFORMANCE PKG, LUX PKG 7 Speed Double Clutch MANUAL/AUTO PADDLE Shift with 6.2-liter V-8. rated for 518 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque.
