First time benz owner, just got this ‘09 c300 with 170k miles for a relatively low price from a family member. It does need some TLC but nothing too crazy. I do have an issue that after some research I see is common on these cars. Abs and esp inoperative
Cruis control inoperative
Check engine light
Brake light
Speedometer stopped reading
Mileage stopped keeping track
I’m located in SoCal (San Gabriel Valley), I wanted to see if there’s any recommendations for trustworthy shops in the area or surrounding counties.

Hope you relationship is not dependent on how much this car costs to fix up! Find an independent mercedes mechanic who can read the codes and advise on where to start. You may also have some deferred maintenance to consider. Best wishes!
You didn't indicate your level of DIY'ing. If you have some experience, start with an OBD scanner, and do a complete fluids/filters check/service. If you need assistance, you can find a list of local indy repair mechanics at benzshops.com.

Thankfully it’s not lol she understands my love for cars fortunately!
I’m pretty mechanically inclined, I’ve just heard so much horror stories about how picky these cars are so i’ll be sending it to the professionals.
