Heat gun, pick off with a knife or razor blade or something to that nature (be careful) then adhesive remover. You can get a heat gun / adhesive remover from Home Depot. Good luck!

The best way to debadge is to order the car with the free option code 260. Too late for the car in question unfortunately. Or is this one of those "options" that MBUSA would not support?

Several MB's Superperformance MK III Cobra
The center star does have prongs on it. If removed there will be holes where the prongs insert into the trunk. The only right way to do this is to have a professional body shop fill them and repaint.

Looks like you are bent on doing this. So, here is a site with some pics of an S with front badges removed. The hood ornament is replaced witha flat MB badge. Makes the standard S550 look more "sporty" I guess
