2003 E55 Blk/Blk
FS: 2000 BMW E39 M5 LEMANS BLUE SPORT INTERIOR 6 SPEED W/ TITANIUM TRIM & ALCANTARA

My Email: Djanark2000@aol.com

Hi all,

VIN # WBSDE9343YBZ96487 Feel Free to Carfax

For sale is my BMW E39 Body M5. I searched for a long time to find one in this condition and this trim. This is my summer ride (a winter daily-driver is a necessity in North East for people who really love their cars), and is always garaged, always meticulously maintained with syn oil and proper fluids. The car has never been in an accident or re-painted, tracked or auto-crossed - clear title, clean Carfax, of course. I've also been an active participant on M5 Board and other forums so Ive done quite a bit of research for this car. This is the kind of car that would be a CPO car if you paid the upcharge to purchase it from a dealer.

Car Specifications:
____________________________________
Year: 2000
Color: LeMans Blue :M5rev:
Interior: ///M Sport Interior Black w/ Blue Inserts
Engine: 5.0 Liter V8 :M5launch:
Transmission: Stock 6 Speed with UCC Short Shifter
Miles: ~78,590~ As of this post
Non-smoker
Always garaged
No winters while in my ownership - rarely even sees rain as I have a separate poor weather/daily driver car (ford explorer)

Standard: You guys know all this stuff.

Options:I think mine has most of the U.S. options.
Here is a list of a few features off the top of my head:
1:BMW STARTAC Telephone
2:Full Leather With Titanium Trim
3:Rear park distance control
4:Navigation 4:3
5:Audio - standard or with DSP (digital signal processing) not sure which one I have...
5:Alcantara Headliner
6:I think the sunroof was also an option for some or all years but either way I have it.

Modifications:
____________________________________
100% Stock except for a
UUC Evo 3 Short shift Kit &
K40 Undetectable Radar Detector with laser Jammer
K&N Air filters
Lo Jack

Cosmetic Modifications:
____________________________________
I love a classy a sleeper so the cosmetic mods are very minimal.
- OEM Silver Pedals
-Thats all

Recent Maintenance / Other New Parts:
____________________________________

The tires are Michelin pilot sports
and have about 65-70% tread left on them all around.

All of these things have been preemptively addressed to prevent failures of common weak points on this chassis. Heres a list of the parts installed.
New MAFs
New cam sensors
VANOS replaced
New climate control unit
New rear view mirror
New power steering hoses
New valve cover gaskets
New front cup holders
Clutch replaced around 40k miles
Oil Change just performed 500 Miles ago

Also the very expensive Inspection II was recently performed, which would cost you in excess of $1200 at the dealership.

Misc:
____________________________________
- There are tiny knicks that are very minimal and really display how strong the paint on this car is.
- Some M5s experience a carbon build-up problem where some of the emissions equipment becomes clogged up with carbon. This has no effect on performance but does cause the Check Engine Light to turn on and will most likely cause the car to fail emissions testing. BMW dealerships charge $7000-$8000 to clean this carbon out of the heads. That being said, this car has never exhibited any symptoms associated with the dreaded carbon buildup problem and does not burn any oil.

Ok, finaly to the pics!

Asking Price?
____________________________________
Start with base car value as of now (just looked while writing this post):
----------------------
....... .....Private Party.....Dealer Retail
KBB: ...... $25,760 ......$ ...$29,230

............ Low Retail ... Clean Retail ... High Retail
NADA: ... $24,200 ...... $27,025 ....... $28,600

NADA is a dealer-centric site that doesn't publish private-party values.
Averaging private-party for the Nada clean retail and Kbb Private Party yields: $26,393

So, my asking price is: $24,800 Considering the used values for this car.

All reasonable offers will be considered; please don't bother if you intend to lowball because I'm in no hurry to sell and I know this is a great starting price for a great car. Please, no tire kickers or joyriders - this is a serious car!

Also there will be no parting out.
Thanks for looking

Thanks
Tom

Truely a beautiful car with a beautiful interior! And i love how you kept it lookin classy on the outside. I wish I could buy it, but I need to wait a couple more years to add another car to my sig, and even then, I'd need to decide between an M5 like yours, or an RS6 from the same year range. Good luck with the sale though... truely a beautiful car at an amazing price.

The car is still for sale and the deadbeat bidder that won it on ebay is a piece of garbage. He emails me and tells me that hes sorry but he didnt mean to win it and that hes new at this. So Im out the fees and the time...Thanks Ebay for no screening bidders AT ALL!!

I had the same problem when i listed my car on ebay. Dead bidders suck and ebay should do something about it since the cheapes listing to sell a car is like $60 bucks....

You're not comparing apples to apples my friend.

An 02 M3 in showroom condition with 11K miles and $20K worth of mods (under 400 miles) is going to be worth a lot more than a stock 00 M5 with 79K miles.
