Up to 35hp INCREASE!!!

Now, I don't know much about performance mods (but learning alot from you guys) but this sounds a bit too good to be true: I was surfing around the web for tuning info and inadvertantly came to the following site: http://www.spiralmax.com/

I was wondering if you guys over in the US know of this product. I'm sure the guys on this forum with sound technical knowledge can explain what it does and why it wouldn't create such gains. Or can it?

(sorry mods...this may be the wrong forum for this)

hey its your car. My family has a tornado thing like that on our suburban and it does increase gas mileage but not any real big improvement on HP.

I remember seeing one being tested on the news before. I don't remember if the car had no change in power, or if it actually lost some (probably due to road conditions), but they do not work. You would probably have better results by removing the spare tire.

Heck I'm ordering one to try it on the Suburban, make some tests and post results, if it works I keep it and it is worth the 70 bucks spent, they say you have 30 day money back.
I have Autotap which lets me monitor air/fuel ratios, gas consumption per cylinder bank, HP and torque readings based on load, acceleration and a whole bunch of other stuff is too long to remember and type. I'll keep you posted, worse it can happen if they don't take it back is I am 70 bucks poorer and more frustrated, lol

Good engineering vs magician

Tornado, vornado or whatever they called that thing to create turbulence in your intake manifold, especially if it is done to the air in the mass air flow sensor (MAS) is bad magic (it does not even qualify as bad engineering).

The current modern engine mass air flow sensor requires laminar air to be able to precisely measure air flow (hence inject the correct amount of fuel). If you look carefully on the inlet of the MAS, the factory installs a grid that is meant to straighten air flow.

Just remember, if it sound too good to be true, it most probably is.

But again, we are all suckers deep inside. . . . .

Don't bother...you might as well hook up a hair dryer in the engine and call it a supercharger!
