Turbonator Intake Upgrade
Now, I am usually the one to automatically call a "questionable" modification as a bull$**** product with good advertising, but this part actually appears to be so simple it has to work. Two laser cut metal intake inserts which spiral the air into the combustion chamber. Has anyone ever tried it? Has anyone ever heard of any damage or problems it caused? Positive or negative feedback, please guys, your input would be very helpful.
Thank you.

I dunno if this is true or ppl are trying to spook me, I heard, not sure if its that brand or not, but some of those vortex generators can often break and peices of it can get lodged into your intake and etc. I really dont know how it would work, especially this brand. I am not knocking the product either, just saying what i heard. But it wouldnt be a bad idea if there was more research in this area.

it's bull****, trust me. it's a piece of crap marketted successfully to ricers who think graphics add horsepower. instead of spiralling the air, it just functions to further restrict the direct path of the air into the intake, and may end up hurting your performance. if you want something that spirals the air, either turbo or supercharge.

not a problem. I actually know three or four people from a local board who tried it. I have one sitting around in my garage in st. louis because they were disgusted with it. i'm heading up to jersey in march and i can bring it if you like just playin'

I believe Car and Driver did a test of this product and found it does nothing for the engine or performance.

If anything at all, I would try this:

Claims to add 1 PSI or 1.7 PSI

I don't get it, so you're just going to force air into your motor with no tuning?

Diesel Performance
We are currently testing two performance power modules for the 300 and 320 CDI diesels. One by Carlsson and one by MH dezent. Both are suppose to add approx 65 to 70 hp, not sure how much torque. Will know more after the dyno runs and will post that results here.

that's like puting a leafblower in an engine. ghetto, not powerful, not reliable, and a total waste of money. doesn't belong on a benz. remember, you get what you pay for.

Actually, I remember seeing a video on streetfire.net (please don't ask me to find it, I really don't feel like searching for an hour through their archives ) where these guys dynoed a car and then ran it again with a leaf blowing in the intake. IT MADE A FEW MORE HORSEPOWER!!! Maybe we should all rig leaf blowers into our car...LOL.

Yeah, Ive seen that video as well. They also sprayed nitrous into the leafblower while spraying it into the intake. Now thats funny.
