Roman, did I miss something along the way or are you saying you were running high boost and 9000rpm in an M103 with only CP pistons and O-rings?! No upgraded cams/valvetrain to support the revs? Simply incredible. How come the M103 can survive the high revs? Does this mean the M103 is better suited than the 24v M104 for big power?

Impressive work Roman. Very impressive.

Thanks!!!!
No CP pistons and no O-rings, this is my other engine.

This time I was running completly stock engine with stock pistons, rods and no o-rings. Stock cam, valvtrain and everything just stock. yes I think that m103 one of the strongest engines ever buid. M104 head is weaker then M103.
I just love M103!

Standard internals?! That is even more impressive. Does the M103 head use solid lifters? With the BMW M20 problems start occuring with the rocker arms at over 7000rpm.

Roman, may I ask what turbine housing you were using? 19cm^2 perhaps? And do you have the standard 65mm turbine wheel or the bigger 70+mm one?

Thanks

Yes all parts of M103 head is more solid then M20 head
I allways use rev limit at 8000rpm even with my winter car 190 2,6 I have rev limit at 8000rpm and I never had a problem for 2 years now less I instal MS II

Turbocharger I use is GT45 is good for 900-1000Hp

Compressor house:
A/R 0,66
Compressor wheel inducer 70mm

Turbin house:
A/R 1,05
Turbinwheel inducer 80mm

I have a friend making 9000 with 2,3 16v so I thing that 8000 would not be a problem but you should be carefull about your rods

Thanks for your answer.
I do have 4340 custom made rods. However if I am not mistaken the 2.3 enginf is M102 with rocker arms, and my engine is an M104 engine with direct hydraulic valve lifters so the geometry is very different and the valves may float at a different RPM.

Thanks

My mistake. That is the Cosworth designed head.

Does your friend car is with Turbo?

I would like some opinion if to keep the cams timing original .
My engine power drop at high RPM (Back pressure I guess).

My max rpm so far is 7000.

Thanks

I had no engergi or money to fix it right away so I was driving the car for 1 week with broken gasket and I got more and more water in the oil inside the engine every day but I keeped on driving at 2bar and 9000rpm the whole week before the engine began sounds strange. I have many other plans with my car and thats why I have no energi, time or money to fix the engine now so I going to fix it for the next season. So now I will have time to finish my album with my band

Dear Pumpish,
You did not tell us the end of the story.
Who won the race you or the motorcycle?
What kind of motorcycle was it?

Nice car man!
Yes my friend has turbo and around 450hp

Yes of caurse I won the race but it was pretty stupid to keep driving at 2bar boost without water in the engine and 140 degree

It was the secound time I won race with 1000cc sport motorcycle.

We start race at 50km/h up to 200km/h

It was black suzuki 1000cc and first time 1000cc kawasaki

It is unbelivable. I mean to keep up with 1000cc motorcycle .
The most difficult part is the start at 50 KMH. How do you keep from loosing tracktion? What kind of tires (Rear) do you have ? Do you build boost before you start?

I have michelin pilot sport 255/35/19 and with GT45 turbocharger I have so soft curv and much better tracktion. On streetrace I use launch control sometimes and build boost before the start
