From my understanding, certain parts of the Kleemann S/C are very advanced and patended. I would assume not the first, but now i will step back and let the experts explain....

THat is what i thought too. If so, then KLEEMANN has made "improvements" on the "original" supercharger. There is no way to have a patent granted unless you have made your new product better, whether it be more ecomomical, or more powerfull, or running on less boost etc. I have filed a few patents and was granted because my product was more portable, more powerfull, less energy consuming and over 16 times cheaper that the previous product/invention.

I think this is plain an simply the best fact that kleemann SC are superior that other companies products. The Patent office doesnt bull****.

You can't be talking about the US patent office.

is a c320 with a kleemann compresson jsut as fast as a c32?? just wondering...im looking at new cars and i may consider a c320 wagon with a kleemann it would be a one of a kind and maybe quick enough to beat up on some pretty quick cars.

Slightly slower. The C32 engine isn't the same as the C320, and is able to run higher boost.

Question about the Kleeman Super Charger?

With out divulging any proprietary information:
How does Kleeman manage the fuel curve with the added demands of a Super Charger?

What Fuel pressure do you recommend?

How have you over come the engines natural design of a negative pressure manifold, with the positive backpressure that a Super Charger creates?

What Spark plugs do you recommend and Gap (If applies), and why?

Does the Kleeman S/C have a Boost gauge? (Standard or Optional?)

What is the recommended vehicle service with a Kleeman S/C?

Do you follow Mercedes Benz Service requirements or do you recommend more frequent service?

Thanks in advance,
Tim

Gosh, this is going to be interesting, direct questions to another manufacturer of superchargers. Let's see if they give direct answers. Or if they allow a 19 YO to insult the questioner.

Or if they totally ignore the questions posed. I am done with what is supposed to be the main topic of this thread. I would suggest it be shut down before we see who can pee the farthest, but I know you guys won't in the interest of being more than fair. Good luck with whatever continues of this thread - I'm done, but if you find out what marketing curriculum that PR genius graduated from let me know, I could use some help like that.
Well I tried to get this thread back on track. If I don't get an answer on this post I'll create a new one. I know that's a NO, NO!

What exactly do you get for ~$20k installed?

Luke,I don't think it is a bolt on, I thought ECU is reprogrammed, and inyectors and changed as well as differencial (I might be wrong)

Ben:

If I were to purchase a unit before the warranty is offered, would you extent that warranty to me? I'm just curious. I am thinking about doing a s/c, but will wait until the warranty is offered. Will there be an extra premium that I will have to pay?

Ok, I'm off to work and save bux.

Thanks

DLS

Timster-

The fuel curve on our kompressor engines is handled via a mechanical linear increase in fuel pressure based on boost pressure. Everything is set at the time of installation, and double checked after 1500 miles of operation. No need for future adjustment.

Our kompressor is an integrated unit, meaning the komrpessor, intercooler and mainifold are one unit. The factory manifold is removed and put in a box to collect dust. Our manifold uses equal length runners, and the discharge passes over the intercooler cores immediatly after it is discharged, leaving little room for pressure drops and additional heat build-up. The biggest pressure drop exsists in the air box.

The spark plugs we use are one step "colder" than the factory units.

Our kompressor system does not include a boost guage, however, you are welcome to have one installed if you would like.

We let our dealer service our demo vehicles according to the FSS, and we also add an oil change every 5000 miles. 10,000 miles between oil changes, supercharged or not, is just too long in my opinion. The only special service required is a complete check-up of the kompressor system after 1500 miles of operation. At that time, everything will be checked, from fuel pressure, to manifold vacuum at idle, to A/F ratio. Every aspect of the kompressor system will be double checked to ensure everything is in perfect order.

Don't hesitate if you have any other questions.

This is a dyno for CLK55 before and after Kleemann Kompressor. Ignore red and blue lines prior to 110 mph, they were done at part throttle to keep rear tires from spinning on the rollers.

Stock car - green line - makes around 280HP, with addition of Kleemann Kompressor the output goes to 424HP. A 144HP gain, 51%. The other two 55's that we have dynoed have very similar numbers.

How much HP does that translate to at the crank w/ the kleemann installed?

I don't think it does because it is a screw type compresor, what's the big deal, having a clutch mechanism would only create a small lag on response.

James: I like to use 17% loss. So if you take 424HP and divide it by 0.83 we get = 511HP.

Now others like to use 20-25%, in all honesty what is important is the delta - before and after and area under the curve. The sooner HP rises the faster the car is going to be.

HPS: Kleemann uses a bypass valve that opens under vacuum and closes under load.

Thanks for the reply vadim. But sorry for the ignorant question. You said 511hp and i know kleemann advertises their G4 kit for about 560hp at the crank where's the other 49hp? Am i missing something here??

Thanks again.
