SL55AMG 640BHP Upgrade

I am have booked my SL55AMG into Kleeman Gmbh in Feb 03 for a Vmax delimiter and 640BHP supercharger upgrade.

Does any one have a similar car with the upgrade and can you let me know any issues?

Thanks

BTW - being a new member I did a post to the AMG section - I should have used this forum I think. Apologise for inconvenience.

12 months on the total upgrade I understand.

No Merc warranty but that is expected. Any serious aftermarket tuning would void any manufacturers warranty unless it was AMG direct.

I am going into this with open eyes and an expectation of great things - I'll let you know what happens.

I will pay whatever costs if I break the SL55 but I do not think that likely.

Thanks

I have an 04 E55 on order, can you inform us as to what is included in the upgrade as well as costs involved?

As soon as I have the exact details after 8th Feb03 I am happy to share them.

I know I am getting a completely new supercharger and Vmax limiter derestriction. The exact kit list and work involved is probably exclusive to Kleeman but I will let you have the outline changes.

I may have the bigger brake option, lowering switch and by necessity a tyre upgrade.

Wheels - I don't like the shape of the stock Kleeman wheels and prefer the Brabus or AMG 19in but I will make a decision after the main work has been completed.

Thanks

It sounds like you are getting a Kleemann SC. There are quite a few of us on the board with the Kleemann system. If you want a customer's feedback, shoot me a private message. The system is awesome and should make your 55 haul ***. i am currently having a 6.2 liter Kleemann supercharged CLK built.

Before I die... no, just kidding. Last i checked, the end of February would be aggressive but not out of the question. I am predicting the end of March.

Sleestack

We have an open issue, I am just back from Tokyo and leave for UK tomorrow, so when I have some time I will give you my concerns about the 6,2 / compressor.

I'm interested to hear your concerns, however, I don't really feel that I have the knowledge to evaluate them... I'll leave that to Vadim.

Anybody seen my CLK lately?
Sleestack, I saw your car last week at ShoShop. Nice touch with the Lorinser DTM bumper. The gaping hole shows off the heat exchanger nicely.... (but I would still prefer some mesh to cover it).

I assume you will lower your car again after the engine mods?

I haven't seen the car yet. The whole DTM kit should be on there now (minus the mesh), however, the exterior and interior is far from being done. The mesh that goes in the gaping holes is being anodized. The car is being fitted with a custom coilover setup, however, I'm pretty sure the car will sit very low.

I assure you, it looks very nice. Even sitting like a SUV. I like your style, Lorinser and Kleemann.

You're very aggressive ! I test a Brabus K8 SL55
~100 ps less than yours.
The issue is difficult to drive, too strong the torque
Be tender to the pedal, ESP is very frequently engaged in any
driver's intention to accelerate.
I'd say, this's the pleasure rather than an issue.
