High Power Street Benz's
This may sound lame but anyone on here have like a modded benzs that they drive everyday ? I don't know of anyone who has like a modded up benz that they drive around in like some of your camaro/pony drivers. Sense most of the benz drivers are like old(no offense). So are there any of you who do like your benz so much you mod it ?Stuff like superchargers, turboes, ignition systems,non-factory equipped stuff ?

There are a bunch of people on this board with tuned benzes. A few Kleemann supercharged benzes, a bunch with Evosport ECU, pulley, etc. type of upgrades, some Brabus cars and a few RennTech tuned cars. Do a search and you'll find them. I had a Kleemann supercharged CLK that was used as a dialy driver. It has been with Evosport for the last 18 months being converted into a 700 hp weekend car. Its a pretty interesting project because all of the engine internals were custom manufactured specifically for this project and much of the car is being transformed. It will be done in a few months, after which I will post pictures and more details.

I drive one of 3 heavily modified MB's nearly every day. Our highest milage MB is a CLK430 with our SC, 74K on the clock, 69K of it with the SC. This car has been to many car mags, several racetracks and genrally flat footed most of its life. The only thing that has ever needed changing was the oil (and the contents of fuel tank).
There are quite a few owners here that use their cars everyday- use the search, you will find them.

The only time you might see me or my401 is when we are passing through Orlando on the way to Palm Beach! By the way, what's with the morphed mulletmobile picture with your posts?

Just wondering how you guys forgot Benzmac's W202 in all of this, I don't know how my car would do in the 1/4 mile but I am competitive with many high HP roush mustangs, F-bodies, Vettes, etc. autocrossing..
I drive mine everyday with a Kleemann C23 pulley, Kleemann lighten flywheel with a 6-puck clutch disk and modified S4 pressure plate. Thank you Kleemann.

Instant gratification, of course!! I enjoy occasionally taking on a mustang or camaro (running on slicks with open headers), and showing them how a German V8 can run.

Blackbob,
You do understand I was speaking of the other cars with slicks and open headers, not my car. I like MY car quiet! And I run on my street tires!!

My best run before SC upgrade was a 12.3. The drags were canceled last week due to bad weather, but should be on tomorrow. I am hoping to take away your fastest E55 "crown".

Hey stephens,
Good luck and hope to see some impressive time slips. Are you planning to run on street tires or have you found some good slicks? I have tried several different tire/wheel combos but to date have been unable to improve on my 12.105ET. My best 60 foot time is 1.865 seconds on Bridgestone RE050's. I will gladly relinquish my crown to a newer model (motivation to get busy) for the challenge to get it back!!!
