Lightbulb MKB tunning Project

I love the power of Brabus CLK K8 and am satisfied staying with
Kleemann S/C.

A few tests with friend's 428 rwhp E55AMG, I notice the difference
comes from high rpm zone, said 4500+
I always lose to him at gear 4,5 .....in that high rpm zone.

It's a special AMG camshaft which helps boosting all the way to 6100 rpm vs 5200 rpm 5.0V8 w/standard camshaft.

Where're those camshaft tuners around ? I find MKB.

Here is my status
(1)Full SL55AMG intake kits + K&N filters
(2)Full exhaust system w/100 cell racing cats

I can jump into hi-cam directly plus ecu recalibrate.
MKB told me they're experience with Kleemann stuff & will cover it
up no problem at all.

Yes,camshafts themselves are OEM mostly.

Happen to check a rebuild Vath V58K parked neighborhood
Wow ! those two camshafts looks almost identical in spec (depth, angle), the MKB ones get nicer coating on the surface.

Reflash the ecu is still core technology of MB tuning & do cost
a lot !

You may want to talk to MBK about increasing your RPM limit as the 5.0 engines have a much shorter stroke and have a much lower piston speed and piston accleration. So you should be able to increase the engine speed to match the 5.5 engines speed at redline which should put your 5.0 engine at near 7000 rpm.

All of this is dependant on the valve train being able to handle the increase in RPM.

Shine,

I have MKB cams, headers, etc. in my car. They work great with the Kleemann SC.

Sleestack
I think your car is an inspiration to me.
Hope to see your ultra monster soon

BTW, how much more power does MKB kits gain from stock Kleemann ?
