I have been thinking and reading too...

come on guys, give us some responses here.

All I know is the price, it should take 2-3hrs to install, and the reviews have been good on this site

Thanks Mark. I just ordered the PowerChip so it will be the next thing I do
towards the end of August. Thanks again.

So what were the figures? Is it relatively easy to install for those reasonably mechanically inclined?

I've read from several sources the area of 12hp....... All I think you need is a pulley puller and regular tools (sounds like a 1hr -1 1/2 hr job).

I can't really tell you how good the pulleys are on their own b/c I had them installed along with Stage II on my wife's C32. I can tell you that my wife's C32 is pumping out 420 hp and 410 lb/ft torque with absolutely no problems. I say go for it.

Awesome, but more difficult to compare with normally aspirated engines since the primary HP gain is likely due to the increased drive of the supercharger.

Yes, and the ECU tuning (which also doesn't have as big of an impact on N/A engine).

Agree... the Evo pulley kit is a bargain for the HP it produces, more notable in 1st gear. Since the install in 2002, I've yet to experience problems/issues. Do a thread search for greater insight.

2000 E430 sport package
Ok let me put in my two cents....I have the EVO pulleys, and ECU chip. Since I blew all my "Hobby Money" on paint, suspension etc. I settled for a little more hp and a good looking car vs a Kleemann car needing paint, rims...etc One day Kleemann, one day. I have enjoyed the additional performance for three months. I say go for it.

ok. we are not talking about kompressor engine here now, are we??
Evosport has a simple pulley kit(water pump, alternator, and powersteering pulleys) for the regular V6 aspirated engine. Did anyone actually had that installed? and does it actually produce more horsepower? i heard they are the exact same size as the OEM pulley, how can they make any change in horsepower? Last, the warranty issue. Will MB find out and void the warranty?

They produce more HP because they are lighter than stock pulleys. Have them insstaled on my E430 and believe me they work. But now i have a Kleemann S/C on my car with Evosport ignition upgrade. Now it's really fast.

god... supercharger??!! I don't want to do anything too obvious to void the warranty. Still got a long way to go!! My 03 E320 is having a lot of problems already. so, you have the V8 pulley kit? did you do dyno test and find out exactly how many hp you gained? Does it take long to install it?

wow!! sweet. does it make a difference what size engine you have? Evosport told me only 8-10 hp increase on E320.
did you install it yourself or a shop? how long does it take? where are you located?

haters crazy
I'd also like to know how hard the install is and do u have dyno numbers of when you did the ignition upgrade? Do you feel a difference in the steering or the a/c (because of the pulleys)? Thanks.

It took me like 1 hour to put the pulleys on, if i remember correctly only one of the pulleys need to pulled out the rest are on screws. It's easy if you know what you doing.
