Question Anyone add a supercharger to their car?

I'm starting the search and research as I'd like to do something more serious
to my C280. I see Kleeman and others out there and still looking.....

I too am in the market to add a new level of excitement into the engine bay, I hope to have the shiny metal installed very soon. As you stated "search & research" these are key factors I agree upon, do your homework religiously (it's taken me several months) and these efforts will help you from making costly mistakes. IMO, it's imperative tho you test drive the tuner's vehicles, the only way you can satisfy your quench for thirst of power is hands on seat-time! I've tested the rivaling companies; Kleemann, HPS (bolt-on & new intake system), and the Vortech, all provided impressive power delivery. But beyond the HP & TQ agenda comes critical aspects to my liking such as, proper customer service, convenience, cost, installation facility...man the list just goes on!

Good Luck on your venture and keep me posted with your results.

PM me if I can be of help.

Will keep you posted. I more than likely won't do anything this year but planning to do something by next spring. You hit many good points (customer
service, cost and installation facility) needing to be weighed in.

Question 1. What year is your 280? Kleeman has a very good supercharger kit for the V6 but the older C280's were a straight six. As far as I'm aware they still don't have anything available for that engine.

Young James, It's my lack of patience and my no "tolerance policy" towards being smoked by these local nitro-LS1 cars (u know the story). In 4+ years I'll have to give up the supercharger for the station-wagon

Dude, sorry couldn't make the Sat. event...well you know why.

Contact the Dutch tuner, Mosselman, they do turbocharging conversions for Mercedes and I do believe they have an application for your vehicle.

When I test drove HPS new intercooled intake system on the E430, I also witness the dyno testing at their install facility, approx. an average of 340rwhp & 326rwtq. Currently, after some fine tuning the numbers have increased; 376rwhp & 352rwtq, also I have a copy of the dyno graph with a/f readings I'll try to post it.
