Decided to do a big engine build. Vehicle was picked up Saturday night November 16th. Headed to Eurocharged of Houston Texas. I have big plans for this vehicle. Hoping everything goes smoothly and perfect. Have been in contact with Eurocharged of Houston and Spool Performance. I am very excited. Hoping to get the car back sometime around February 2025. Vehicle is a 2016 S63 4matic sedan. Plans include the following. Spool Performance fully built long block with the CNC heads and cams, built transmission with possibly replacing the reluctor plate and or wiring harness to the transmission and engine while they are there. I would like to keep the original engine with the car. New engine mounts, transmission mount, bridge pipes replaced with HMS performance ones or equivalent, Spool Performance FX200 high pressure fuel pumps, Spool Performance stage 3 low pressure fuel pump. Blackboost 950+ turbos. Any upgraded radiators or heat exchangers? Maybe at a later date, do meth injection, however for now, I really don't want it. Maybe three different tunes. 93 pump gas, E85 (VP C85) and some sort of race fuel (VP C16). I could always order a 55-gallon drum of VP race fuel. Good E85 is very difficult to find in my area. A straight pipe welded into the resonator location, plus have the Renntech Sport mufflers welded into position. Also have the front portion of the Redstar exhaust welded into position where the factory exhaust was two pipes, and the Redstar exhaust consists of four pipes. I think that's it for now. Will be getting their input for everything as everything comes together.
Ordered a replacement engine cover plaque to go with the new engine. Ordered them from pruktautodesignsales@gmail.com. super nice guy. Can't wait to see them in person. the original plaque and the replacement plaque.
I hear from Eurocharged Houston and get pictures periodically. They were finishing up the engine. They are using my engine as the build. I wanted to keep everything together with the car. The built engine is from Spool Performance along with the low and high pressure fuel pumps. Turbos from Blackboost. They already built the transmission. They were planning on doing the tuning in two weeks. Then hopefully no issues and the car will get shipped back to me. There are some things I wanted done, however due to this being an S class, there aren't a lot of items for that car. They told me that this will be pretty much a one of one. Not many people modify the S class. Plenty of people modify the C, E, and CLS class. I was hoping that some of the parts available for the C, E, and CLS, would interchange with an S class. Apparently not. I had wanted everything completely done at one time. That way I could enjoy the car for many years to come. The only thing limiting the car will be I didn't want meth injection. Due to I didn't want the car butchered up to run all the lines and cables and the trunk taking up space with the tank. Just trying to keep things simple. I just wanted a few different tunes. 91, 93, some sort of VP race gas of the tuners choice and possibly VP X85. Simple. Hopefully I can get some dyno graphs posted and pictures once I get the car back. Have an awesome day.
Oh trust me, I do too. Vehicle was started for the first time today. Awaiting word from the shop, about break in, how many tunes we are doing and what gas.
Received an update this afternoon. The shop is doing five M157 projects at the same time. However I believe mine is the one closest to being finished. Because of how special this build is, the turbos have been redesigned and they want this car to be the first to have the latest and greatest turbo on the market. So they are currently removing the engine to install the current turbo. Trying to keep everyone updated. With as fast as they can have these engines out, I would think that would take a day. Lol. Then tune the car
Just a quick update. I think during the tuning process they got a code. They have replaced the wet clutch and will continue the tuning process. Yay. Excited to push the ludicrous speed pedal.
