If it's at the crank, it would be a CALCULATED figure...........unless he took the engine out to dyno it.

I'm also very interested in someone stepping up with some definitive numbers. I would like to hear some feedback from the pulley guys as well.

What are our best options if we go pulley installation? Certainly we should remap the ECU but with what product? Is there an ECU that marries well with the pulley change? Kleeman for a couple grand I suppose?

No. I'm not saying he can't calculate.
When I operated a chassis dyno ( measuring rear wheel horsepower "rwhp" ), you would translate the reading into flywheel horsepower by deducting driveline losses, i.e. depending on wether the vehicle was manual or automatic transmission.
So, long story short, if " Mike230K" has seen 223 hp at the wheels, it would roughly translate into @ 270 - 280 hp at the crank.
With just a chip, airfilter & exhaust......................keep dreaming.

SLK 230K
as i see the thing, it only can be read as RELATIVE figures.....

stock 193 => 223 it seems perfectly ok... as it is with chip+filter+exhaust
it's a 15,5%...30hp.
the exhaust is a ROMULUS for the SLK....
my last experience (with other car) with filter+exhaust was +5% gain and it was an aspirated engine...not turbo/kompressor!

now, if 223 are 280 at crank don't know... but relatively....193 must be 240 at crank so..... OK! it's only 15% anyway! :-)
