E&G is not a frequently-browsed by many people, I suspect. We miss alot of people because they are unaware of a planned event. Is there any way to relax this policy against cross-posting?

I'm not sure that's as true as you may think. I agree cross-posting would get to more people, but it negatively effects many things including the server, database, adds more posts/overhead. The real problem is where does it stop? What's the limit to cross-posting, what can be cross-posted and what can't? This is why there are forums for specific topis...people just need to learn to browse them or use tools like "New Posts" which will give them a run down of new posts since their last visit across all the boards.

But then again, that might be a bit counter productive.
