Is there a minimum post count in place before you can post a listing?
It just tells me that I do not have permission to post when I click new thread. Trying to list winter tires from my GLE I sold recently
Thanks,
Ryan

There's a minimum post count and time frame from initial registration. Nobody knows what those are however. It's designed to thwart scammers and spammers.
looks like 10 posts or 1 month. I was able to make one now

Thank you, the initial welcome email said 3 so I was freaking out a little bit. I want people to see what I have to offer!Originally Posted by Ryan5508

More to it - I can’t make a sale post for tires and wheels, no idea what I need to do
lack of information

I'd also like to see a little more transparency here. I get it's to stop scams, but sites with an actual listed requirement and email verification usually do a pretty good job. I came here to post my c63 for sale because it's not getting much love locally, but dont want to just sit here making random replies not knowing how many is enough or if I have to wait a certain amount of time

Well it's 2023 there are better ways to detect and disable scammers. Making random posts just to get permission to post something for sale or WTB (in my case) is a waste of time.
The mechanism should be as simple as using ML to detect and delete bot posts/accounts within 0.01 sec. It's that easy..

I agree with you. I had reached out to mb world via email as to why I can’t make a wanted ad in marketplace and haven’t gotten a single response. More transparency would be nice.Originally Posted by Havisham

Agreed. I came here because the Facebook groups are completely infested with scammers. It’s unreal.Originally Posted by redbadge

I looked through our contacts to see we have no email from you. Atleast not from the email address you currently have associated with your account, which was created two days ago.
To help protect the community from Scammers and Spammers we have some very basic requirements that need to be met in order to unlock the Marketplace. This is not specific to MBWorld. Regarding "transparency", it's not something to fully disclose as it could be used to circumvent the protections for the community. MBWorld is a community of owners and enthusiasts, first.

Same, I sent a message to get info since there is nothing in the FAQ about post count minimums or requirements so I guess I'll be replying on random threads.

This is an old thread, but I have the same problem. I've been a member for a long time - granted, I can't even remember the last time I posted. Wanted to list my car for sale, but get the same message. Guess I'll go-a-posting and wait to see what happens.

I just became a member myself and would like to list my 2021 E63S for sale. When trying to list it, I got the message that I don't have the ability to do that yet as well.
