Obsidian black/black and will definitely buy again.

Honestly, I am not a huge fan of the R-class exterior but it looks borderline fine in black or silver. Interior wise, macadamia looks very good with black exterior when the car is new but tan leather shows age a bit quicker than black. Since I am intended to keep my R500 for a while, black interior works for me in the long run.

Silver/Black

Buy again? In a heart beat! A nice to have would be some more power. When my lease is up, I might go back a year and get an 07 R500 or R63; the latter preferably.

The R is a very well rounded vehicle and the concept ahead of it's time. Notice other brands making similar vehicles, like the Toyota Venza and BMW 5-Series GT. I predict the R's future to be promising, only increasing in popularity over time.

Finally another Silver/Black!

I totally agree - if you carouse the car websites, like edmunds etc, you will read all kinds of negative posts about the R. Its time was too early. Although the R is not a gas miser, I think the image of it has improved with $4gas. I can remember before gas climbed to $4, I would see Hummers, Navigators, Sequoias everywhere. Don't get me wrong, they are still out there, but the widespread popularity of big V8 SUVs is pretty much dead and has shifted to the unibody V6 SUV. The R class gives you all the room ... and more... of many SUVs but without the gas thirsty image.
