Invalid disc error, rear entertainment 2007 R63
All,
I have searched and I could not find any worthwhile replies. I recently purchased a 2007 R63. Everything works except the rear entertainment. When I put a DVD in, it give and error, invalid disc error.
I was trying with store bought DVDs (not copies) and I tried older DVDs, not blue ray/DVD combos.
Before I replace everything, has anyone solved this issue? Any help would be appreciated.

I put the DVD in the DVD player at the base of the center rear console. It is the only thing that is not working. The kids are disappointed.

Hey! I recently had my rear DVD player replaced under extended warranty. My DVD player played discs perfectly fine but it would occasionally stutter for a split second when playing a movie. This part seems to be very easy to install and they let me keep my old player. Would you have any interest in buying it from me? Retail at MB for a new DVD player is $2,900!

I've noticed on my rear DVD player (housed in the base of the 2nd-row center console), that there is a cooling fan that comes on at some point, and it remains running for a minute after I shut the car off. I checked to make sure there was no DVD left in the player, so I'm not sure why it still seems active.
The rear entertainment system appears to be completely off. Has anyone else noticed this fan running when the player is not in use? Is this normal, or is there some other "off" mode I haven't found yet?

How much were you hoping to get for your DVD player?

Hey Brian, can you email me directly at wong.nathan01@gmail.com please? We can discuss further there (and more direct response than through PM).
And take your time in regards to cleaning your player.

I ran a cheap DVD lense cleaner yesterday and it worked. The boys are happy and I only spent $4.99.
I think the location of the DVD player so close to the floor attracts dust and dirt.
