How do you remove the rear window regulator?
I have the door panel removed, the window disconnected from the track, all the bolts out. The inner panel seems to be hooked on to some plastic near the door latch. I cannot see well enough to see what is holding it on or how to release it.
Can anyone give me the secret to remove or a print out from the service manual.
By the way, I tried to get a STAR manual from my dealer and they said it wasn't available.

Thanks for the information. I have gotten this far, but the regulator is on the back side of the panel that holds the window motor. I removed all the bolts and the panel is loose but engaged in something near the lock mechanism of the door. I cannot see down the slot between the panel and the door shell to see how to disconnect it. Can you you look for a few more instructions, the inner panel may be called the "door module"

Those are the instructions to remove the window motor from the regulator. The regulator is on the back side of the "door module". I have all that off and the door module loose, but it is retained near the door locking mechanism. This is what the regulator looks like. It is bolted to the back side of the door module. http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/sk...EPM491714.html This is a picture of the panel I'm trying to remove http://www.ebay.com/itm/06-12-Merced...pWEEd~&vxp=mtr

I will look up in Service DVD if I can find it.
I saw on the you tube that has a video clip how remove / install the whole assy. It is ML350.
It looks like you have to remove the door handle to remove the module.

The GL video was very helpful. The door module includes the window regulator, the locking mechanism and the door handle mechanism. Once everything is unbolted it was simple to remove the module, repair the regulator and put it all back together. The bolt to remove the door handle end was hidden by the reflector on the end of the door. Many times I have been somewhat frustrated working on the car until I have found the proper method or order of disassembly, then it makes perfect sense. This forum has been a great help. Thanks
