what forum area will i need to go to in order to learn more about the r350

There are also a few threads in R class forum from people replacing their head units with aftermarket. Some very good info there.
What sort of information are you looking for? What sound system does your friend have now? standard or Harmon Kardon?
what is your plan? splice into speaker wires to get a signal for the sub amp? Where will you install it and get power from?
There is a handy fuse box in the trunk on passenger side. by spare tire.
I have the HK system with subwoofer in back. I purchased a used OEM sub to use the wiring harness so as not to cut any wiring.
whatever you do, you really need to do your homework first. access to shop manuals for dissassembly is very helpful.
