10th Anniversary Upgrade Project for 2010 R350 4Matic
just bought a 07 R350 for the wife and kids, everybody lovs it!
The R class has that funky look to it so it needs some small things done, like tinted Windows and trim, rims, stereo and lighting.
This is giving me inspiration for ours

That said, I'm not a huge fan of the EvoX-R 2.0s. All of the light intensity is in the hotspot and there is very little width in the lights. I will probably try to figure out how to make the current Mini D2S 5.0 work as I would prefer the additional width. I also had to do some modification on the E55 adapter bracket, primarily due to the fact that the housing that it mounts to is somewhat smaller than the bracket. It wasn't hard to modify though, just some trimming required.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
I am contemplating this amg style grill. It would look awesome on your blacked out R! Not sure if there is a pre facelift version.
#13 Remove and Install Genuine "Modern" Merc Front Emblem (to match wheel caps). Cut and polished hood to shine.

Sorry for the blurred photos (they're extracted from video). If they last for 1 year, I'll be happy haha. If I owned a LED bulb company, I would make 2 sets. One (bright) to use in the exterior of car; Two (less bright) to use in the interior of car. Check out the main dome light, its too freakin' bright! You have to wear sunglasses. It does have a WOW factor haha.

I know our R class does not get much love in these forums, but thanks for everyone who commended. I just looked at my plan sheet and have

I think it's looking pretty good. It's missing something that I plan to mod soon that's on my project list. 8 more projects left...
I don't have on car and output shots yet as I was busy troubleshooting the adaptive headlight system. Turns out you really don't want to remove the alignment wheel if you can avoid it. Maybe time to buy a Xentry system, unless someone has one I can borrow in the SF Bay Area.

Any clue why and what is your secret to having it to work properly?
I really think the Merc's sunroof button design is bulls*t. It moves in 3 separate directions (up, down, back), yet is only supported by 2 tiny tiny prongs in the front and 2 in back!!! No wonder Ebay sells a ton of options for these buttons. I don't even use the sunroof much, but noticed the 2 front buttons are broken. So, even though I don't use it much, it bothers me that it is dangling loose. So, it was in my 10th year project list. Repair done!
Merc, just make 2 separate push type buttons and no prongs! Save us the grief.
Frustration! The rear view mirror is loose, which I don't mind. But, when it movies around when going over bumps, it's bothering. I read up some ideas on the forum/internet and tried the cable tie method. Seems a little tighter, but not satisfied. There is a metal ring that goes over the ball joint. The cable tie goes over the ring as tight as possible, but I'm having mediocre results. Took it all apart again and put a piece of paper towel in the ball joint. Problem solved! Also cleaned the unit and wrapped the wires with cloth electric tape to cover the deteriorating wire foam (see photo).
Have only SIX more things to do but I think it's turning out pretty good. Hopefully, I can drive it for another 3 years without getting the itch to buy a new SUV.
