Those brakes look great! Did you feel that the stock breaks were not adequate or are you still thinking about getting a Weistec supercharger?

Thanks. Stock brakes are adequate but the Brembos just look too sexy to resist haha, and yes, it helps prepare the car for the possibility (low) of a Weistec Supercharger.

The stock brakes are actually quite large at 390mm front and 365mm rear.

Brembo brakes are slightly larger but save about 20 lbs in unsprung weight at each corner over stock. The stock calipers are much heavier.

With 80 lb shaved in total, the car feels quicker off the line and rides better.

Thanks for the information. That is very interesting. Will your original 20 inch AMG wheels fit with the new brakes? Aren't the stock AMG calipers also made by Brembo?

The factory brakes have no Brembo logos, just “AMG”, Mercedes star and faint “ATE” markings.I assume they are made by ATE for Mercedes.

The stock 20x8.5 ET60 fit over the Brembo brakes but the front calipers just touch the inner spokes.

The solution is to use 10mm H&R spacers all around which I was doing already to bring the wheels flush to the fenders.

The 21x9 ET60 will clear the Brembo calipers without the use of spacers due to their extra width.

Do you still have the OEM Calipers?? I’d be interested in them for my R63. Looking to clean and preserve OEM...including the 80 pounds of un-sprung weight!

Can’t believe there is that much mass up front!! Great results!!

Hi, we calculated it was 80lbs at all 4 corners but yeah, saved alot of weight up front (50lbs or so) and less at the back (30lbs).

I’m keeping the stock brakes as a complete set should someone want to buy them, so not going to part them out at this time.

Do you have the ordering details for the Brembos? I'm running S63 wheels on mine at the moment.

Hi, there is no fitment for R63, but the W164 ML63 run the exact same brakes. It's 100% bolt on and works flawlessly.
