Hi everybody,
I wanted to tell that my old dream from 90s has just been fulfilled. I bought black ob black CL600 1999 with 78k kms. I have driven always very nice cars and still do but CL 140 body was always on my list. I felt in love with it first time I saw in 1993 I believe. What a car. This is the best CL by far ever build by Merc. I will post few pics later next week.
Couple of questions that I have and would appreciate if somebody answers them.
1. The cell phone in the car - how I can operate it. I read something about replacing the antenna, dont fully understand it.
2. When is the major service on this car (my has 78000 kms or about 50000 miles). My car was fully serviced by Mer dealer and the last service shows up at 74000 kms.
3. Any expierences driving it in Winter. I live in Toronto and we have pretty cold weather here. Do you guys have winter set or all season tires should be ok?

wana sell it? I think I just fell in love and gone to heaven. wow!?............ Let the car heat up a bit, they don't like being driven cold. If you don't warm it up, the gears won't switch correctly.

Beautiful CL Mazurs!
Looks exactly like the one I bought in Feb. of this year. Beautiful shape with only 32K miles on it. Something about the lines of this car has always made it my favorite ride ever. I've got some aftermarket 19's that really set it off, not flashy, just looks aggressive.
I remember test driving one in '94 with my Dad when I was just a pup. Could never get it out of my mind.
Now I'm having thoughts of aftermarket performance mods.
IMHO the new Bodystyles of the CL don't do any justice to the classic lines of these big body benzs!
So, cheers to your buy!

Congrats on your new ride!
As for your questions:
1: If yours is the same as mine then you have an analog phone - not really worth reactivating.
2: Major service is at 30K mile intervals so yours is still a bit in the future.
3: I only drive mine in summer. Probably ok with the right tires, but with all that rear wheel horse power not the best snow car.

Congrats also to everyone else joining the CL 600 club!
You've got great cars and great taste!
Getting one of these babies used has got to be one of the best used car deals out there when you consider they were around $135K+ new for '98s and '99s. They do run a bit more on service with the V12, but worth it IMO.
Again congrats!
