mercedes logo lights
Anyone come across the projector logo lights for the door on a coupe. There are hundreds of them on the market for S550 Sedan and other models.
I know they are not everyone’s taste, but I happen to like. Seems strange that Mercedes would create a new door light specifically for the s-coupe when they had many other Mercedes lights to choice from.
I just bought my 2016 S550 with 8,600 miles and loving it. My 3rd Mercedes.
You all rock. I have been reading the forums for years and really enjoy the insight many of you have.
Thanks.

I also happen to like these. I have them on my wife Lexus. I have looked for them all over the internet for the coupe and have not been able to find any. I popped mine out and they look standard but for some reason it looks like nobody is making them for the coupe. Let me know if you find them anywhere.

Well, I did it. Its common light on ebay. But I had much trouble. They flickered. I assume they are no error free led. So I had to buy load resistor for led. They were hard to figure out, then hard to make up wire connectors to fit them, then hard to clip into old door light
everything was hard. Dont try it unless youre good with small wiring and hookups.

Ok busy but here is pic and note mini connectors that were hard to find. I spliced into original wires so can remove if necessary and plug originals back in. These were ebay called A115 3D Shadow lights and a common led load resistor, only use one leg of it.

I've got the BMW Logo / puddle lights on my 650i, however I'd rather have a plug-n-play designed as a direct fit for the S Coupe. Funny how many comments I get on the Logo Puddle lights from strangers. Let's keep this top of mind. I suspect there's a number of us who would like to have them on their beast.

Finally Found Logo lights
Lol - took nearly a year, but found a supplier on eBay ($80 USD per pair) provides them. He is listed on eBay as seller artlharris. Email is artlharris@aol.com. Search I used was “2 Door Courtesy Shadow Logo Lights for Mercedes-Benz C217 S-Class Coupe”. I believe he made them for his wife’s C217 and sells them on eBay. Work and look great. Error free and appear to be well made (no exposed wires). He sent me pics ahead of time and communication was timely.
Took less than 15 minutes to install. Attached some pics. Enjoy.

I went with / pulled the trigger and got them from eBay seller artlharris. Email is artlharris@aol.com.
Great communication and he's very candid and will answer all questions quickly. While I'm sure at some point there may be others on the market, I'm going to give these a try. The ones I have on my BMW get TONS of comments and everybody thinks they're really cool....so do I. Only downside is I have to swap the lens out about once a year because they seem to bleach out. However that's an easy job to do. If they work and I have to change the lens once a year, no problem for me. I think details like the puddle lights make a lot of difference at the end of the day...

I also purchased them from artlharris. They look great but I have a problem that when you open the door at first they flicker and hesitate before coming on. Once on they do stay on though . I tried reinstalling them and even throwing some electric tape on them to hold the hookup site together in case the connection was slipping out. He said he was willing to exchange them so i will try that.

I don't think it's the connection, I think it's the electronics. I purchased the same and it takes about 1/2 a second before they come on. Overall, not bad. Factory nice....well probably not, but a really nice alternative. From MB this is likely to be a $300 option. I suspect the lens will need to be change every year, if it's like others the lens bleaches out. The seller says he does have access to additional lenses. Again, I have to score the seller an 11 out of 10.
Product...well time will tell, but so far so good.

Mercedes logo lights
I installed the ones alluded to in post #10 as well as others and they went t u in a couple of months. I then had my dealer install the ones offered by Mercedes alluded to in post #5 and they seem to be working fine.
$192.68 including tax installed. I have to say I preferred the blue ones however they just didn't last for me.
