Rattles.

Have had mostly great experiences with my 2016 S550 coupe thus far.

However, the intermittent -- admittedly slight -- rattle in each door that is only there at just the right speed and just the right road surface (unclear where on passenger door, front half of driver's door somewhere) and same in the dash that I can't pinpoint, is annoying. The dealership has tried to fix to no avail.

Any firsthand experiences or suggestions?

I have a 16 and there are no rattles. Sorry that is not very helpful.

Belated, but no problem. Having one in each door, the dash, and somewhere in the headliner and can't tell where from. Dealership can't find or fix.

Saw that in the other thread! I will one day, but no hurry for now. Would be nice if I could make this car perfect in the meantime though. Debating trying to start removing panels and trim to go a little crazy with felt and foam to make things even more quiet, but not sure how best to do so without damaging things.

The only rattles in both my coupes were where the seat belt rests in the extenders and the window seals.

Does anyone have a service guide as to how I might chase this door seal or panel rattle on the driver's side? Annoying the hell out of me. Have tried the dealership to no luck. Worse now though -- maybe worth a second look.

Have you had any luck tracking these down? I still have a rattle in the passenger door area and one in the headliner that are a little annoying over a rough road. I did find the source if one other though, it was the perfume canister that the dealer provided with the car. The magnet on the bottom came in glued and it then rattled around in the housing, so I've removed it. I do not want to get into removing paneling myself. Just curious if you had any luck with yours.

Sadly, no. Have to take another crack at it eventually -- annoying that little things like this detract so much from a pretty high-end car!

S550 coupe
A quick update on this. I found the causes of my annoying rattles in the passenger door area - very easily solved once i had figured it out.
i) The cover for the front passenger seat belt retaining bolt (behind the front seat near the floor) was not secure, hence rattling. It just snapped it back in place.
ii) i found a metal paper clip trapped in the passenger seat track. No idea how it got there as it was too big to fall in. It must have been there from the previous owner, a dealership repair or even during manufacturing who knows.

So much happier now these annoyances have gone!
The one in the headliner has also stopped for now ... fingers crossed it stays away!
