I've anguished long enough over which car to buy( S Cab or GT4) and have decided to go for the S Cabriolet. Wish I could afford the 63 , but I'll be ordering the S 560 Cab with every substantial option except the upgrade stereo. Also decided to do European delivery again ,given the great experience we have with our SL63 in 2014, Anyone have any thoughts or caveats for me to ponder before to order goes in?
I ordered my S560 Cabriolet Euro delivery a month ago. Same as you, ordered all the options including the High End Audio. I think it will be worth the price, especially with top down driving. FYI MB just sent out an email about Euro Delivery changes.
"MBUSA recently announced to our dealerships that we are making changes to our European Delivery Program (EDP). As of the end of July 2019, we will be ending our partnership with HRG Worldwide, our EDP travel agency partner, and eliminating the current travel offerings of one complimentary hotel night and the optional tour packages. Given that we received your vehicle order prior to this announcement, we will honor those offerings for this order. MBUSA will not honor any hotel reservations for orders placed after July 18.
In order to obtain the complimentary night in Stuttgart which is provided by MBUSA for your European Delivery trip and, the pre-selected travel package if applicable, we strongly recommend to book your hotel reservations through our existing partner and process by July 29, 2019, if you have not done already. If you choose to book your reservations after July 29, 2019, we cannot guarantee your preferred hotel in Stuttgart and will have to refer you to another travel agency to book any travel plans beyond that one night at your own expense.
Thanks, Greg. This is VERY good to know! I will be ordering on July 23, so I hope i'll get in under the wire. Shame they are changing the program that drastically. The first time we did Euro delivery it was a monumentous treat. Maybe they will figure something else out?
Congratulations! You are gonna love it. I have the s63 and yes it is nice to have the power when you want it but truthfully the s560 has more than adequate power. I would venture to say that 70 percent of the time I am driving it normally and not really getting on it. There is not enough road on your daily driven streets and to really open this thing up. Enjoy it! you bought yourself a great car.
Just out of curiosity what made you decide the Merc over the Porsche? Not sure if your model comes with the exhaust valve opening button but you might want to look into an exhaust. I just purchased the Meisterschaft gtc with remote valve open and closer and boy did it wake the car up and make it that much more fun to drive.

MB Committed to OCT.31. on my car and I already planned my travel accordingly. So we will wait and see what happens. If mine gets delayed, supposedly they will give me a loaner car, better be an S Cabriolet! If release date is 12/2, I don't think I will have my car before year end...
Remember to pack light when you pick up your car, trunk is smaller than an E Class Cabriolet.

Thanks Greg! Good lucky with your delivery. Hope we all get to see some pics from when you get it! This will be our second european delivery. We took our luggage( all of the pieces) up to our dealer this past weekend to test fit which ones will fit in the S Cabriolet. They have a gorgeous S 63 Cabriolet on the lot at the moment.
Helmut, I did indeed get my car on 10/28/2019! Its unbelievable! Still in Europe, more details to follow
my daughter Erin, mistakenly thinks she will be driving my car!
