Getting ready to order...
I've been away from MB since my CLS550 lease ended 2.5 years ago. Though I've had a few other marques since then (Tesla, Ferrari, and Alfa), I really loved the CLS (and the entire MB experience) and have been looking forward to my next Mercedes. I've had my eye on the S560 for awhile and am waiting for the 2020 order book to open in September. I'm hoping to secure a December delivery.

My planned build:
  • Exterior:
    • Lunar Blue with AMG trim package
  • Wheels:
    • 20-inch AMG twin 5-spoke
  • Interior:
    • designo Porcelain/Espresso nappa leather
  • Trim:
    • Burl walnut wood
  • Options:
    • Premium package
    • Warmth & Comfort package
    • Heated wood/leather steering wheel
    • Electrically heated windshield
    • Driver Assistance package

I can't wait to get back into a Mercedes.

Hi,

I thought that might be the case (I ordered my last MB in August), but my dealer told me that the 2020 car hasn't been released for ordering yet in the US. He thought it would be another two or three weeks. I'll definitely keep after him and will order as soon as possible.

Are you sure that your dealer didn't just base your order on the 2019 prices and is holding it for submission to the factory until mid-September?

I have a Lunar Blue coming this Saturday, was a little skeptical of the color, how obviously if you ordered it you like it but what was your thought process.

I tend to order red sports cars and dark blue sedans/coupes. I ordered a Lunar Blue CLS550 (having seen it on a different model on a dealership lot) and loved the color. It's on the dark side (which I like for its elegance, but don't care for black) with a visible metallic sparkle. It completely lights up in direct sunlight. I think it's gorgeous; if you're enough of a blue guy to have ordered it, you won't be disappointed.

I think it'll look great on the S-Coupe, too!

Very nice combo... the saddle brown works best with the blue and green paint IMO

Ken... It is definitely a 2020 as the prices went up $3000 over the 2019 model. The 202 order guide has been available with pricing for 3 weeks now
